PA PA - Philadelphia, Male body found in Schuylkill River, Apr'16

The Schuylkill River in South Philadelphia has given up another body, found Tuesday night, but it has not yielded the answer to how the partially decomposed victim died.

6ABC in Philly reports that the body was found after 8 p.m. Tuesday. It was in the river along the grounds of a South Philadelphia refinery, where an employee at Energy Solutions who was doing a weekly check and made the grim discovery.

The partially decomposed corpse is that of a man who was wearing a long sleeve blue shirt, tan pants, black sneakers and gloves, the station notes.

However, little else is known at this time, including how the victim died and how he might have ended up in the river.

The body was partially decomposed but believed to be a white male wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt, tan pants, black sneakers, and gloves.

Police earlier were searching for a missing 22-year-old man who may have jumped into the river from the Spring Garden Street bridge late in the afternoon. He remained missing Tuesday night.
