Police: Several shot after dispute in checkout lines at Pa. Walmart

CHELTENHAM, Pennsylvania --
A man pulled a gun during a dispute with another customer in Walmart checkout lines near Philadelphia and opened fire, wounding several people before fleeing but was later arrested after crashing into a police vehicle, police said Tuesday night.

All victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the gunfire reported just after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the crowded store at the Cedarbrook Plaza Shopping Center, Cheltenham Township Chief of Police John Frye said.

An unidentified man then pulled a gun from a woman's waistband and fired at least ten shots inside the store, according to police.

Two women and a man, all in their 40s, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to their legs. A fourth victim was also shot and a fifth victim was grazed in the leg, police said.

A sixth victim, a pregnant woman, wasn't shot but was injured after falling to the floor during the incident.

All six victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

The suspected gunman along with a female passenger then fled the Walmart in a Pontiac Grand Prix, police said.
