Missing 78-year-old man last seen in Dauphin County

State Police are looking for a missing Schuylkill County man last seen at a bank in Dauphin County.

78-year-old Richard Messersmith, left his home on Tremont Avenue in Tower City around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, and had not returned home as of 3:02 p.m.

PSP says he was last seen wearing a black jacket, jeans, sweatshirt and sneakers.

He was driving a silver 2011 Ford Ranger pickup truck, with plate WR69923.

Messersmith might be in a "confused state," according to PSP.

He was last seen at the BB&T Bank in Lykens at 12:34 p.m.
