I can't seem to find a thread on this man who is on the lam. I'm certain there has to be one - but just in case...

Hunt for fugitive Shawn Christy continues in southern part of Richland County
Schools closed as search continues in Mansfield area for fugitive wanted for threatening President Donald Trump

Timeline of Shawn Christy's legal troubles

US Marshals and local and state police continue searching for fugitive Shawn R. Christy, who was originally wanted for threatening the President of the United States as well as local Pennsylvania officials. Read on for the timeline of the month-long, multi-state manhunt that has most recently landed in rural Adair County, where Christy is believed to have broken into multiple homes.

June 2012: Fugitive Shawn Christy first made the news in December, 2011, for admitting to hundreds of threatening calls to former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. In early June of 2012, Christy and his father, Craig Christy, both of McAdoo, PA, were sentenced to five years probation. (See: WNEP: Two Sentenced For Harrassment of Palin Lawyer)

June 20, 2018: US Marshalls began a search for Shawn Christy near his hometown of McAdoo, PA, because of threats he made on social media against local officials and President Trump. (See: WNEP: Schuylkill County Man Wanted for Threatening President Trump, Government Officials)

June 21, 2018: the manhunt for Christy in Schuylkill County, PA, had expanded to include the FBI, U.S. Marshals, the National Swat team, county detectives, and state and local police. (Massive manhunt underway in PA for Shawn Christy)

July 13, 2018: The search for Christy continued in Pennsylvania through the July 4th holidays, and then on July 13, the focus moved to Constable, NY, just 100 yards from the Canada border, where officials found a truck stolen from Christy's former employer.. (Schuylkill County fugitive wanted for threats to Trump may be near Canada, authorities say)

July 17, 2018: officials traced another stolen vehicle from New York state back to Pennsylvania, where they think he broke into a school in Scranton to steal food. (WNEP: Search For Man Accused of Making Threats Against President Trump Turns to Lackawanna County)

July 25, 2018: The US Marshals began searching for Christy in Butler Township, PA, after a breakin at a relative's house where three guns were stolen. (Extremely armed and dangerous fugitive believed to be in Luzerne County area)

July 29/30, 2018: US Marshalls continued to search for Christy in Pennsylvania after a surveillance video showed a man matching Christy's description stealing a minivan. (Marshals seek help locating van possibly stolen by fugitive Christy)

July 30, 2018: The search for Christy moved 250 miles west, when Christy was spotted at a Sheetz on Interstate 79 in Allegheny County, PA. (Man wanted in Trump threat spotted in Western Pa.)

Aug 3, 2018: Police in Nitro, WV, recovered a stolen van connected to Christy. (Police Recover Van Stolen by Pennsylvania Fugitive Who Threatened to Kill Trump And Law Enforcement)

Aug 6, 2018: According to multiple reports, US Marshalls had already been in Adair County for several days searching for Christy, because of threats made against Adair County native Dakota Meyer. (WLEX: US Marshals Search For Fugitive)

Aug 9, 2018: Kentucky State Police confirm that surveillance videos appear to show Christy breaking into the home of Dakota Meyer's brother, Timothy Gilliam, on Brockman Keltner Rd., in Adair County. (CM: Dakota Meyer home broken into; suspect is Shawn Christy)

September 17 - Two days ago a truck that authorities suspect was stolen by federal fugitive Shawn Christy was found Sunday in Ohio after it crashed on an interstate.

U.S. Marshals suspect Christy, of Schuykill County, stole the truck early Sunday morning from a Luzerne County business that he is reported to have burglarized a couple weeks ago.

Here in Ohio, mainly Mansfield - schools were closed and a manhunt has been underway. Some are thinking he's still in the area because of his possible shattered knee and no report of another stolen vehicle.

This is my neck of the woods. This is very scary! Some people are suggesting putting food out for him, saying he is harmless. Considering the timeline posted above, he doesn’t seem harmless to me!

I'm about an hour away. There's lots of chatter around here as well - saying that he's harmless and some think they know where he's hiding. There's rivers to hop on and take south - would make sense on why the dogs aren't picking up scents.
I don't have an opinion yet but looking into his history.
He reminds me of an adult version of the Barefoot Bandit. He hasn't really hurt anyone or anything that I've found yet - just theft of what he considers a necessity.

Shawn Christy set to return to Pennsylvania to face threats charges

Shawn Christy, the Schuylkill County man captured last month in Ohio after a summer-long police chase on charges he threatened public officials, will be back in the Keystone State by Tuesday, officials said Friday.

“That’s our scheduled date for return to Pennsylvania,” said U.S. Marshal Brian Fitzgibbon, enforcement supervisor in Cleveland, Ohio. “It should be by Tuesday that he’s returned.”
