Found Deceased PA - Tatyana Johnson, 47, car found @ Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Pottsville, 17 Feb 2022

The Pottsville Bureau of Police and PSP Hamburg barracks are attempting to locate TATYANA JOHNSON, 47-year-old Pottsville woman who reportedly left her home the evening of 02/17/22 and did not return.

Johnson’s bronze Toyota Sienna van was found parked at the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary property on 02/22/22.

Johnson is a white female, approx. 5’8”, 145lbs, with brown hair and green eyes. Last seen wearing a black coat with a faux fur collar.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pottsville Police at 570-628-3792 or PSP Hamburg at 610-562-6885.

The van was found 5 days after she left home. Did she drive straight to the sanctuary or did she travel to other places during that time? Or maybe she was not in the van when it was parked at the sanctuary. Hope she is found soon.

She went missing on the 17th February, and today is the tail end of the 24th, so that's been a week already.
Once it hits a week, I get a sinking feeling in my heart.
I hope I'm wrong. But this situation doesn't sound hopeful.

It’s about a 30-minute ride from her house on the 500 block of West Race Street in Pottsville. That’s all the information Pottsville Police say they’re releasing to the public at this time.

Eyewitness News tracked down a few people who know Johnson. Eyewitness News has learned Johnson is married with two children. She used to work for St. Joseph Center for Special Learning in Pottsville, according to a former boss but we are still trying to confirm what she did up until she went missing.

A neighbor describes Johnson as nice and soft-spoken. She doesn’t believe Johnson would just leave.

“That just doesn’t sound like her because I’m sure, like, she loves her daughters,” the neighbor said.

Found deceased.

On Thursday, Pottsville police announced their search for Johnson had ended after she was found deceased.

Police did not say where her body was found but did say there is no evidence of criminal activity. Her death is still under investigation.

A very sad and regrettable ending. It's unclear what happened to Tatyana but we were hoping for a positive outcome.
