A former senior corrections officer at a state prison in Cumberland County has been sentenced to four years in prison for having sex with two male inmates.
Thomas Schwegel, 44, a corrections officer for more than a decade, pleaded guilty in August to official misconduct.
Schwegel's attorney, Steve Scheffler, questioned the sentence imposed Friday by Superior Court Judge John Waters, saying the separate sexual encounters that occurred between 2001 and 2002 were consensual.
