Six people have been shot, and three are dead after two connected crimes, a high-speed chase, and an officer-involved shooting happened Friday morning.

Troopers said Ricky Shannon, 22, entered the Sassafras Terrace apartment complex in Lancaster County and shot four people, killing one. Then, Shannon, an Altoona native, allegedly fled the scene in a car with a 19-year-old woman. Troopers said they determined those shot in the apartment were family members of the woman.

Shannon had a PFA against the woman, and the woman reportedly filed one against him days later.

Police were called to the scene of that crime around 4 a.m., saying they quickly identified the suspect and a high-speed pursuit began.

PSP Lancaster also joined in the pursuit which carried over into Dauphin County, where Troopers stated Shannon had crashed into multiple cars and was also periodically speeding on the wrong side of the road. The pursuit traveled over 40 miles.

He fired at cops, they fired back. Both Ricky and the passenger died
