John Wayne Strawser Jr. was extradited to Pennsylvania in October and had a preliminary hearing Thursday, where his charges were bound over for trial.

Strawser is accused of killing Timothy Davison in the early morning hours of Jan. 4, 2014 while driving north on Interstate 81 near Greencastle, just north of the Pennsylvania-Maryland border, according to police. Before his fatal shooting, Davison called 911 to report he was being chased by another driver, who was shooting at him.

May 2018:

Extensive files turned over to defense in Interstate 81 homicide case
Franklin County District Attorney Matt Fogal told a judge that he gave the files to defense attorney Kristopher Accardi as part of the discovery process before trial. He cautioned that it will probably take some time for Accardi to go through the materials.

Evidence believed to be included in the materials are an autopsy report about Davison's multiple gunshot wounds, pictures of the crime scene, cellular telephone and GPS navigation device data, ballistics testing, and paint samples taken from the damaged section of Davison's sport-utility vehicle.

In May, Franklin County District Attorney Matt Fogal gave John W. Strawser Jr.'s defense attorney thousands of documents and audio and video files on an external hard drive.

Attorney Kristopher Accardi told a judge Thursday he is still sorting through those materials, which were part of the evidence discovery process before trial.

Franklin County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Carol L. Van Horn scheduled a status conference for Oct. 25. Trial dates have not been scheduled.
