A 20-year-old man who fired a shot on an Allentown street during a fight over a cell phone, striking and killing a 16-year-old boy, will spend up to 47 years in a state prison.

Michael Angelo Rodriguez, who had no fixed address at the time he was arrested, pleaded guilty in Lehigh County Court last week to third-degree murder and carrying a firearm without a license in the death of Trequon D. Wade of Allentown.

Judge Maria L. Dantos sentenced Rodriguez to 20 to 40 years for third-degree murder and 3-1/2 to 7 years on the weapons charge.
