WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — A man suspected of shooting at three homes, who is also a person of interest in a double murderand a car bombing, is being sought by police in Westmoreland County.

27-year-old Mara Casale and 41-year-old Jacob Erdeljac were found shot to death early Monday morning.

Victor Steban, 53, is considered a person of interest in the murders.

“Steban admitted to walking up to the house on foot with an AR-15 rifle and waiting until the couple came home on a motorcycle, court documents explained.

He said to police that he shot Mara Casalefirst and then as she was trying to get away, he shot her two more times. Police then reported Steban admitting to shooting Jacob Erdeljac off of his motorcycle and shot him twice in the head again.

Steban allegedly told investigators he had a past issue with Jacob and that led him to their Penn Township house.”

I just don’t understand how Mr Steban got there on foot. According to mapquest it’s almost 6 miles away, a 2.5 hour walk. He doesn’t look like a fit healthy man. How did he get there on foot??
