One Year
"Have you ever wandered the difference one day could make? ? ?
One year ago today a man in the prime of his life walked out his door, and was never seen again... No answers for a mother, or a sister, or any of his loved ones.
He wanted the same things in life as you or I. ...Young, hardworking, loyal and full of promise. His life was on track, having overcome adversities similar to our own.
This is BJ's story. William John Ward, "BJ," disappeared on June 28th, 2017.... His last known whereabouts was off Route 408 & Steadman Rd, in Centerville, PA 16404. He literally vanished with the clothes on his back.
Despite numerous attempts to search for him, he wasn't found. Weeks later his shoes were found in a place previously searched. His vehicle contained his personal belongings, and was found on Steadman Rd. where he apparently parked it.
Now I'm asking that you put yourself in his shoes, literally. Ask yourself "Who..what..when..why?" He lost his keys, called his girlfriend and spoke to her until the cellphone call dropped. Determined, he knocked on a door in the vicinity and had a man phone BJ's Mom. She could hear her son's voice in the background, he was requesting she drive from her home (2 hours away) and meet him at the Titusville, PA, Wal-Mart. BJ planned to walk there, (over 6 Miles away), to meet her. She wasted no time in driving to that designated meeting spot. No BJ there, or anywhere she looked. The onset of a Mother's worst fears was realized... her son was gone without a trace. A Mother knows her son, and that he wouldn't ask her to travel, and then not be there.
If the hands of time could be reset for this family, 1 day would be life changing. I ask that you put yourself in his Mother's shoes and SHARE her story. My heart continues to break for her, BJ's sister, and the entire family. He's gone but never forgotten. I implore anyone with information please contact the Franklin, PA, PSP at 1-814-676-6596.
Thank you in advance for sharing this post."
