Anyone else seen this staggaring film of a man whose parachute didn't open and the camera in his helmet filming his 12,000 foot plummet to earth and yet he lives? :woohoo:

"I just blurted out, 'Oh s---, I'm dead . . . Bye!'" . . .

the pal he was skydiving with filmed it too and landed not far away, ran up and asked if his friend was alright.

"No," was the answer. he hadn't actually expected an answer at all.

i found it absolutely extraordinary and wonderful at the same time.

the story:

Only 170m above the ground, he waves the world goodbye and screams a last message into the microphone, resigned to a horrific death.

Absolutely incredible story!! I cannot believe he didn't have any more serious injuries than he did. That is a miracle.

I saw the footage on the news and it was really unsettling, even knowing the man survived. His chute got tangled up somehow, so the whole time he was falling, he was spinning around. Just watching the footage made my stomach turn. I can't imagine how he remained as composed as he did.
