Two people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a 37-year-old woman from Cardiff.

Paria Veisi, from Cathays, was last seen at 15:00 BST on Saturday 12 April, when she left her place of work.

A 41-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were arrested on Wednesday and remain in police custody.
The force added Ms Veisi's disappearance is "totally out of character" and officers are concerned for her welfare.

She has long, curly, black hair and was last seen wearing a black zip-up gym top over a red top, black trousers, and trainers.

#UPDATE | The investigation into the disappearance of Paria Veisi is now being treated as a murder investigation being led by South Wales Police’s Major Crime Team.
A man, 41, and a woman, 48, who are both known to Paria, remain in police custody having been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The focus for the ongoing investigation remains Paria’s movements after she left her place of work in Canton at 3pm on Saturday, April 12, driving her black Mercedes GLC 200, which was located on Tuesday evening (April 15) in Dorchester Avenue, Penylan.
Paria has long, curly black hair – she was last seen wearing a black zip-up gym top over a red top, black trousers and trainers. She was carrying a small handbag.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell, said: “I can confirm that that the investigation into the disappearance of Paria Veisi is now a murder investigation. I currently have no proof that Paria is alive. Her family and friends are extremely concerned that they have not heard from her which is totally out of character. Paria’s family have been informed and we are keeping them updated.
“We have two people in custody, and at this stage we are not looking for anybody else in connection with this investigation.
“Our investigation remains focussed on Paria’s movements after she left work in Canton area on Saturday, April 12.
“Extensive CCTV and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out by a team of officers and I am appealing for anybody who has information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to make contact.”

What is the connection between these people and Paria?
Nothing seems to have been confirmed yet.

I’m going for an ex partner and his girlfriend (or possibly an affair was occurring something along those lines) MOO of course.

It must’ve been somebody known to and traceable to Paris as they were arrested pretty quickly

There’s some interesting people on 192 connected with an address in Bridgend. We need to wait and see if there will be any charges / names released.
This is the business interest / company I found Paria connected to.

There is sad news coming through about Paria. South Wales Police have made the following announcement:

Detectives investigating the murder of Paria Veisi have discovered her body at an address in Penylan, Cardiff.

A 41-year-old man from Penylan, Cardiff, has been charged with murder; preventing lawful and decent burial of a dead body and assaulting a person occasioning them actual bodily harm.

A 48-year-old woman from Australia Road, White City Estate, London, has been charged with preventing a lawful and decent burial of a dead body and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Interesting in what way?

Police have charged 2 people but have not released there names, anyone able to find out 2 people or anybody who appeared at Cardiff magistrate court on Saturday?
Yes, the magistrate court listings are published online and the only listing for today are for a man and woman who both appeared at 10am today. However the charges aren’t listed, neither are their addresses, so whilst the obvious conclusion is that this is the couple charged in connection with the murder, I personally think it would be irresponsible to provide their names here. What I will say though is that it’s not the man mentioned in the Companies House link above.

I agree with you @ScalableHeights until the names have been 100% confirmed it’s not right to release them.

Her body was found at an address in Penylan, Cardiff (the man is listed to live at an address in Penylan so I’m guessing it was at his house)

The man is charged with murder - the women is charged with preventing a decent burial of a body and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

They’ll both appear in court on Tuesday so it is likely we will get further details then

From what I could see on FB she was working in Canton as a hairdresser. It’s a pure guess but she could have gone to Penylan for a home appointment, and that something happened there. It could be that she had the appointment noted down and the police were able to get CCTV or doorbell footage of her entering but not leaving. By Thursday I’m guessing they were satisfied she never left.

Regardless of all that, I’m assuming the suspect’s address is the address she was found, but I won’t speculate why she wasn’t found until a few days after his arrest.

Alireza Askari, 41, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday charged with her murder.
Wearing a grey jumper, Mr Askari, from Penylan, Cardiff, spoke to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

He has been charged with murder, preventing lawful and decent burial of a dead body and assaulting a person occasioning them actual bodily harm.
Maryam Delavary, 48, from White City Estate, London, also appeared in court and is charged with preventing a lawful and decent burial of a dead body and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

They will appear next at Cardiff Crown Court on 16 May, and have been remanded in custody.

The man charged with murder is the husband of Paria

I’m guessing like I previously thought the woman involved is a new partner.

Husband explains why he was arrested so quickly.

Cardiff and London are a fair distance away. I wonder if the woman helped physically or was advising what to do over the phone? Her charges usually mean they were aware of the murder and didn't report it to the police. All moo
