Paris - Australian Olympic land hockey player arrested for buying cocaine, 7 August 2024

Tom Craig, 28, have been kicked out of the Olympic Village, and has been barred from attending the closing ceremony, after been arrested for buying cocaine in Paris. He was released after 18 hours in police custody. He recieved a warning, but no fine or record.
Why go and buy drugs, and then try to run from the police, when you are attending a once-in-a-lifetime event in a foreign country?

What a shame. Terrible decision and I’m sure he will regret it for the rest of his life. Humiliating for his family and country too.
