It took two months to find a missing 13-year-old's body in 1980, and detectives recently resumed their search for the seventh grader's killer. Tammy Williams Carden contacted Durham County Sheriff Clarence Birkhead, who took office last year and asked for a cold case unit to reopen the investigation into the murder of her best friend, Patricia Darlene Tilley.

I just read some on this and well it kind of sounds like what had happen to a girl in my town back in 1973 to this day they have not found her killer or killers . her name was Tina Davidson there is a link here on ws for her case
