Walker Co. Sheriff's department searching for missing Carbon Hill woman

Lisa Benton Warren disappeared from her home in Carbon Hill Monday morning and hasn't been seen or heard from since, according to police.

• Lisa is about 5'3", 165 lbs. with short, brown hair and green eyes.
• She is an insulin dependent diabetic.
  
• If you have any information on her whereabouts or know someone who does you're urged to call the Carbon Hill Police Department at 205-924-4411 or the Walker County Sheriff's Office at 205-302-6464.
  
• There will be a public prayer vigil for Lisa at 6pm on Saturday, Feb. 29.

Carbon Hill police looking for missing woman
Police say she told her husband she had an appointment Monday morning, but when he returned from taking kids to school Warren’s car was at the house but she was not.

She took her purse, phone, charger and some medication for her diabetes with her, but not enough to last long.

It appears to me, from reading her FB, that she has 2 teen daughters living at home, and one older daughter who is married (and who lives 1300 miles away from Lisa, according to Lisa's posts).

ETA--She posted on her FB page in the morning of the day she was last seen.

She was found in Greene County? Carbon Hill is in Walker County, Tuscaloosa County is south of there, and then Greene County is SW of Tuscaloosa. Hmmm... MOO

I feel so sorry for Lisa's daughters, as they will now have to deal with the loss, and the horror. RIP Lisa.

Her husband pushed her during a domestic dispute and she fell backwards and hit her head. That's probably why the manslaughter charge instead of murder. In these new court documents prosecutors say Warren hit Lisa Warren in the head with an object more than once.

The prosecutor also listed the murder date as February 25, 2020.

Warren, a 52-year-old Carbon Hill city councilman, is charged with murder in the blunt force trauma death of his wife, Lisa Warren. He reported her missing to police on Feb. 25, the day she after she went missing. She was last reported to be seen alive on Feb. 24 at approximately 7:30 a.m.

Her body was found in March in Greene County. Authorities at the time said Robert Warren led them to the body, which was found in a creek off Greene County Road 220. The indictment states Lisa Warren died from a blow to the head. Robert Warren was indicted on charges of murder and abuse of corpse.

Trial dates have not been set in any of the cases.
