1. What led you to WS? I started browsing here looking for more info on the Brian Shaffer case.

2. What brought you to MJD case? She died about 7 months before I moved to Arizona for college... I thought she was probably around my age, and I just identified with her because of that. Turns out, her birthday is 6 days before mine in the same year. :(

3. What is driving you now to continue this? I'm more of an observer than a do-er, but I like to pitch in any helpful comments or information I may have, and I'm interested to see how things turn out. I really hope that WW and possibly LDJ face some sort of charges.

If you don't mind...I'd like to know a few things from each of you.

1. What led you to WS?

I think I was watching AMW and there was a case about a UID that was found wrapped in a keyboard box and left in an alley in Chicago's Humboldt Park area (Marlaina Reed). The following Monday, I was farting around at work and was googling the case and just stumbled upon WS, where I spent the better part of that work day just lurking and reading throughout many case's threads. It could have been an earlier case, but that's the one that really stuck out for me and got me here posting.

2. What brought you to MJD case?

Well, I'm not 100% sure on it. I know that after they indentified the Chicago UID, there was really not a whole lot I could do in terms of helping LE find the perps, so I stumbled upon MJD's case and became very interested in why such a pretty girls was still unidentified after almost 10 years.

3. What is driving you now to continue this?

I want to know why LDJ and AF lied to the police. Had they not lied, Tawni would have been ID'd YEARS ago. I want to know what their involvement was and if they killed her or was it really an accident? I want to know why the police failed. I want JUSTICE for Tawni.

I never answered this, and since I feel like the case is winding down some, let me just share the following;

MJD intrigued me because it seemed so solvable in my naive opinion...like the Benjaman Kyle case there was so much information, but clearly one simple piece was missing. Whatever you believe ultimately led us here; whether Deb filed a runaway report that was never checked against the pretty Jane Doe discovered 3 weeks before; the fact that juvenile prints are not in a database available for comparison to UID's...it was an amazing case in terms of learning and I think if the loophole is closed that allowed WW to get away with his violence for the last 10 years, Tawni will not have died in vain.

I have been honored to work shoulder to shoulder with each and every one of you as we have moved through the different facets of this case. You have changed the lives of this family FOREVER simply by loving and caring about their child long before her name was restored....several of them have stated that it helped to restore their faith in human beings, even at a time where they were trying to come to grips with the senseless act that took Tawni's life.

Oh believe09, thank you. I have had a soft spot for our little Tawni since I first saw her picture. It's a bittersweeet case for certain. It's ironic, but WS both destroys and restores my faith in humanity. I KNOW all of my friends here will understand that. :blowkiss:
