The parents of a missing Canadian are travelling to Peru to try to find their daughter, Kimberlee Kasatkin, who went missing from Lima in late November.

The 41-year-old mother was last heard from on Nov. 27...

According to Abbotsford police, the investigation involves Interpol and Peruvian police agencies. The Abbotsford Police Department is also assisting Kasatkin's family.

The 41-year-old mother was last heard from on Nov. 26, 2016, according to posts on social media.
"Kimberlee was last seen in Lima, Peru where she has been living for the past three-and-half years with her boyfriend and their two minor children," read one of the posts.
"She has not been in contact with any members of her family — in Peru or in Canada. This is very uncharacteristic of her. Her family in Canada has tried every method they can think of to contact her," the post continued.

Kimberlee lives in Lima, Peru with her common-law husband Christopher, who is from Peru, and two children – a six-year-old boy and three-year-old daughter. The couple met in Victoria, where Kimberlee was attending school, and moved to Peru more than three years ago.

The last contact her family had with her was on the evening of Nov. 26, when Kimberlee had a FaceTime (video conversation) call with two of her sisters.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

Christopher has indicated to the family that the last time he saw Kimberlee was also on the evening of Nov. 26. The family continues to have regular contact with Christopher, and she described their relationship with him as “very amicable.”

When I got back to the house, I was surprised that she was gone.

So she left the house carrying personal effects, documents including passport and bank cards, SO returns and she is missing.

Abbotsford Police Department is not investigating the missing person aspect of the case and that they’re just lending to support to the family after they were contacted on Dec. 5. The police said Interpol has been notified and included in the investigation along with Peruvian authorities.

Abbotsford Police suggested that some of Kimberlee’s friends may have information on her whereabouts. "She spent time in Langley. She spent time in Victoria, and we think that it's quite possible that she had contact with her friends in November and maybe still continues to have contact with those friends, that just have not, at this point, become aware that she's missing."

Adding to the mystery, Kimberlee’s husband Christopher appeared on a video telling a missing persons blogger that she was depressed and wanted to leave the country. He said she took her passport, phone, credit cards and clothing with her and that she didn’t leave a note when she left.

Kim went to visit mom in Canada. Kim wanted to go and live in canada.
Kim mood has been up and down lately.
Kim took off with passport and papers and money?
The passport has not been used to leave the country by plane.
So is very concerned and its fearful that something has happened to her.
So called canada to speak to kim. Thats when he found out she wasnt there.
