Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a scheduled flight from a Queensland Airport. Last seen Airport Drive, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025

Yep I think you’re both right, he’s tried to control her, it’s kicked off, maybe his pig dogs tried to attack him and he’s killed them, he’s done something to her, then he’s faked going to the airport, gone to the bush and… well I think the police know and have a GPS up old mates behind.

it’s a matter of days of not hours, poor girl.

The desperate plea for help before Pheobe Bishop vanished without a trace near Bundaberg: 'No one did a thing'

“The family of Pheobe Bishop's flatmate have broken their silence, revealing that they tried to raise the alarm with authorities before the 17-year-old's suspicious disappearance.

Now, Ms Bromley's brother, Sean, has come forward, claiming his family had serious concerns about the welfare of those at the Gin Gin property and went to the police.

Yes thats it.

The thing is , time and time and time again, you hear THE SAME thing from relatives of these *** , the relatives plead for help in various departments and police but NOTHING gets done!

You only have to be reminded of Hannah Clark's case to know that NOTHING has changed since.

Then someone gets killed.

I’m assuming that when he says ‘his nephews’, these are TB’s sons? I wonder if they were living there too?

IMO not necessarily infatuated, more likely predatory, sexually motivated and Pheobe possibly tried to fight against it and things have then gone south quickly.
Occam's razor I guess

What I thought maybe happened was something like this:

It was reported in the news that PB was seen in the car on the way to the airport, and reports of an argument between her and the housemates (plural!) in the car. Source: https://www.news.com.au/national/qu...e/news-story/0e4a0e4786b35d059436429f79c76510

Maybe the argument that happened on the way must have led to a heat of the moment type situation.

Perhaps, and like a totally made up scenario, but perhaps they had done wrong to Pheobe before, and she had kept quiet(because she was relying on them for a roof over her head).

Even though Pheobe had texted her friend that she was only going to Western Australia for 10 days, perhaps she was actually thinking of starting a new life there (see her tiktok posts and reposts frequently displaying a longing to leave the town/start a new life).

Then maybe, when Pheobe was getting near the airport, decided to 'let them have it', since she wasn't coming back anyway. Maybe she told them that she was going to tell on them.

I mean what other type of argument would have led to this? Jealousy - I don't think so. Sexual advances? Both housemates were in the car, and they almost made it to the airport (PB's phone pinged in Bundaberg, remember?)

It appears they had every intent of taking her to the airport... so what changed?

Video/angle I hadn't seen before of the Good Night National Park search yesterday

There seems to be a few non natural items littering the ground.. do people generally dump rubbish in that area?

Agree. The timing of her leaving + seeing boyfriend suggests some possessiveness in the motive too.

Ironically, in their attempt to obfuscate their crimes, they’ve inadvertently created enough mystery to capture more public/press interest than such cases usually benefit from. Hopefully that will create swift justice, at least.

Family describes missing teen Pheobe Bishop as 'strong-willed', as items found near Bundaberg bushland

“Forensic police collected items from an area near Goodnight Scrub National Park as part of the investigation.

The painstaking search has already lasted several days, and is expected to continue on Sunday.

Police divers and volunteers for the State Emergency Service have been assisting in the search of dense bushland in the national park.

Yesterday, they were seen removing items from the bush.

Police have not confirmed what the brown evidence bags contained, or whether it was linked to Pheobe's disappearance.”

The thread title states "Last seen Airport Drive, Bundaberg". Was she actually seen near/at the airport (despite not being cought on CCTV) or did only her phone ping there? It's possible that the perp(s) drove to the airport with her phone just to make it look like she was dropped off there.

Maybe it was TB who did something? It was TB after all, driving around with the weapons.
Possibly might have snapped out of jealousy or resentment?

Who reported Pheobe missing? Was it the bf when she didn’t turn up in WA and he couldn’t reach her?

I believe that pair had only been together and living in that house for a matter of months, and there had already been police involvement regarding domestic abuse. In that situation it may be that the neighbour was used to hearing fights and didn't call police that time because it she figured it was just more of the same. She also said that she hadn't realised that Phoebe was actually living there, only that she'd seen her come and go a few times.

.
This. Also when you live around very rough people you get used to minding your own business for your own health (speaking from experience)

A very fresh break in the base of a tree if you ask me.

There's obviously a lot going on behind the scenes and police are letting the public know the bare minimum. It's hard to get a grip on the actual time line of events because they seem to be inaccurately published, and often changing.

What is heartbreaking though, is that a girl seems to have been let down by her family situation, and despite it all, seemed to have been trying to rise above it and not fall into a downward spiral. She seemed to still have hope, a desire to better her situation. All the photos published of her, and there are many, seem to show her happy and hopeful, unlike many in her situation who appear to have their sadness written all over their faces and in their eyes. For 17, she seems to have dealt with a lot more than many adults twice her age, but still had hope. I fear that hope has been taken from her, along with her life and future.
Gosh I think you’ve captured why so many of us are following.

"An update from police on Friday said
they would continue to search the wider Gin Gin and Bundaberg areas,
and
'no one is in custody in relation to this investigation'.

'Police are appealing to the public for information, including any movement in the Good Night Scrub area on May 15, particularly in the Mingo Road and Gayndah Road areas,'
the update read."
