Australia Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a scheduled flight from a Queensland Airport. Last seen Airport Drive, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025

Media reports say that Police will be looking at Avoca and Branyan areas. Are these bushland areas? I think they may have got info out of the cars GPS?

Police were now focusing on the Avoca and Branyan areas, relating to the movements of the vehicle.”

It's bushland around the airport

Yes some of this was discussed here but got removed before the news finally broadcast it this afternoon.
PB mother was the bridesmaid at TB 1st wedding - you can see them in the news clip, and if you do a search for her name her wedding photos taken by a professional photographer should still come up. His, JW, 1st wedding photos should also come up if you search his name and Emerald.
TB was fired by PB mother.
Both of the housemates were known drug users. WHY PB found herself there, and posting "not my people" , is another mystery.

As is the shot dogs on the property but my guess is, dogs can be evidence

Its a really sad story regardless and PB did not deserve to have this happen to her.

It really looks like harm has come to Phoebe, very possibly the room-mates but there's not enough evidence. Everyone is still trying to remain hopeful, but it does not look good. I heard that police are aware that she was seen in the car arguing with the driver on the way to the airport and after they were initially interviewed they disappeared later in the middle of the night but must have been found/came in since they were interviewed today.
I hope the room mates will be charged with animal murder quite apart from anything else.

As a local to this area, I am following this closely. I hope to God they find this poor girl alive, but from all accounts, it's not looking good. There are several key timeline events that are confirmed by the police but not elaborated on (possibly for good measure) that could really add some weight to the investigation if more details were known.

1. A call to the boyfriend in WA was made prior to the planned departure.- if this were indeed true it would be one of the last conversations before the disappearance. If something was not quite right-say, an argument had ensued, surely the boyfriend would have been informed. No doubt the investigators have probed the context of this call.

2. Both the house and vehicle have been declared crime scenes.- A crime involving the missing girl occured at the house, this is a fact according to the QPS media release. If an argument between PB and the driver was witnessed-as reported-, whatever occured in the house did not result in PB's disappearance directly UNLESS PB either returned to the house after the argument, or, the argument (or the ride to the airport) never happened. If the argument did happen, something occured in that vehicle that resulted in a return to the home. The other scenario is that she never entered that vehicle until after a crime had already occured in the house. I really hope this is not the case...

3. Removal of dead dogs.- this one is very morbid and purely speculation on my behalf. If a person with a history of firearm possession wanted to create a valid coverup for gunshot noises that were possibly heard by neighbors, what reason could they use? 'oh that was just me shooting my noisy dogs'. Very coincidental that it occurred when it did. Conjecture on my behalf but I can't think of any other reason why.

I post this in the hope that my observations can assist others in deciphering this tragic, ongoing mystery. Please feel free to elaborate on this and correct me if I am wrong in my analysis. Let's all pray, wish and hope for a positive outcome for young Phoebe.

Thank you for your post. The only point I can add is that I don't believe QPS have confirmed that a crime happened either in the house or in the car.
Those places being declared crime scenes means that they are investigating a suspected crime.

But, like you say it doesn't look good. The fact that it's now being referred to as a homicide investigation rather than a missing persons case very much suggests the worst.

It's a very sad case, this girl had her entire life ahead of her.

“People don’t vanish.” That’s the message from police in Queensland as they search for 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop.

In a Thursday update, Queensland police said two locations have now been declared crime scenes as part of the investigation: a property in Gin Gin where the teen lived and a grey Hyundai ix35 with Queensland registration 414EW3.

“Currently, no one is in custody in relation to this investigation, however police continue to speak to people who know Pheobe,” a press release stated.

When asked by reporters with Sky News if police were investigating emerging reports of Bishop being kicked out of a car after an argument before vanishing, Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson said the reported argument is "forming part of the investigating."

Authorities have seized a Hyundai hatchback believed to have transported Bishop to the airport. In an update, investigators confirmed to Sky News that the vehicle belongs to "persons who were residing with Pheobe."

Missing teen Pheobe Bishop’s family make public appeal after chilling details emerge around her disappearance

The site appeared abandoned, with bags of rubbish, a large bus, and a boat seen out front, according to Sky News Australia.

Ms Bishop had reportedly been staying there with several people, but no one was present when authorities checked. Her phone, social media, and bank accounts have all been inactive since 14 May – the day before she vanished.

Her BF and her were childhood sweethearts.
Nothing to do with why she removed herself from her family. She was in foster care for many yrs prior. She had a tough life with little nurturing.
Very sad outcome for someone that didn't deserve what was coming to her.
Hi there - just wondering where the info re: her time in foster care came from? I just don't think that's been in the articles I've read... it would be interesting to understand some more about Phoebe's relationship history in order to piece together how she ended up in that house. Thanks!

Now it makes sense that she was never dropped off at the airport. Where did the last seen came from with her and luggage?

Shouldn’t the couple or at least owner of the property be charged with killing dogs its a crime to kill animals.

If I remember correctly the car was seen driving around the airport the next day “ suspiciously”. Perhaps she is somewhere around the airport.

Last woman to see missing 17-year-old missing Pheobe Bishop before she vanished in Queensland is facing sawn-off shotgun and flick knife charges

But Daily Mail Australia can now reveal Bromley was out on bail at the time after she appeared at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on March 28 over the weapon charges.

Court documents reveal Bromley was charged after police allegedly disocvered the shotgun and flick knife on her on the Capricorn Highway in Emerald, Queensland.

Bromley was charged at Emerald Police Station on February 24.

She is facing three charges: unlawful possession of a sawn off shotgun and without reasonable excuse to possess a short firearm; unlawful possession of a category M flick knife; and unlawful possession of a knife in a public place or school.

Bromley is due to appear again in Bundaberg Courthouse on June 23.

Revelations about her criminal past came as detectives zeroed in on the rural Avoca and Branyan areas in Bundaberg during their probe into Pheobe's disappearance on Thursday afternoon.

Police specifically asked the public for information on Samuels Road, a street bordered by bushland, a dump, and rural homes just west of the airport. “

Back to the phone… the relative said she phoned her bf at 8:30am on the 15th, but the above says her phone was inactive since the 14th… something doesn’t add up..

Also, the DM have another article, revealing alleged gun charges against TB and saying the police are now checking a dump site.

EXCLUSIVELast woman to see missing 17-year-old missing Pheobe Bishop before she vanished in Queensland is facing sawn-off shotgun and flick knife charges

What on earth happened to the "several" dogs, and why ?
And why isn't a 17 year old living at home, but rather in a dump with garbage strewn around? Is she estranged from her family? Where are her parents?
In QLD, it’s normal to graduate from HS and move out of home, either with friends, to work or to go to university. I don’t see anything unusual about living with friends after highschool.

Yes, there appears to be a lack of sources provided in some comments so I am taking with grain of salt. Though also assuming that some people on this thread have local knowledge.

omg
On Wednesday, several dead dogs were reported to be found at a Gin Gin property where she was living before her disappearance, but police have refused to confirm this.

Bags of rubbish was also spotted outside the property along with a large bus parked out the front of it along with a boat.

The teen was reportedly staying with a number of people at the property, but there was no sign of anyone there on Wednesday.

Avoid Sky News. They’re not reliable.

The last people to see missing missing girl Pheobe Bishop before she vanished are identified - as police search squalid house near Bundaberg, Queensland... and her eerie social media posts before going quiet are revealed

“A couple who were living with missing Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop and drove her to the airport before she disappeared without a trace have been identified.

It comes as the 17-year-old's last posts to social media have also been revealed where she spoke of personal struggles.

Pheobe was living at the address with a couple, JW and TB, Daily Mail Australia can reveal. TB is the owner of the silver Hyundai.

Pheobe's final posts to social media before her disappearance also came to light on Wednesday, including an eerie March post to TikTok where she described having a conversation with her younger self.

Other posts suggested the teen had been struggling in recent months, with one saying she was 'losing sleep and losing peace of mind'.

'I'm not built for this town, these aren't my people,' said another March post.

Pheobe also shared a repost on May 13 captioned: 'When I die get my dad to lower my coffin so he can let me down one last time.'

A stomach-churning stench surrounded the home on Thursday morning and a neighbour said the remains of up to 11 dead dogs had reportedly been found at the property during police inquiries.

The couple were not at the address on Thursday, while detectives in forensics gear scoured the home.

Pheobe is described as approximately 180cm (six foot) tall with a pale complexion, long dyed red hair and hazel eyes.

Police are urgently appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of Airport Drive, Commercial Street and Samuels Road area between 8.30am and 9.30am on May 15 to come forward.

Anyone with information regarding Pheobe's whereabouts is urged to contact police link on 131 444.”

It is somewhat common to bury a pet in the backyard in QLD, so this may be something or nothing.

A couple of quick thoughts. The idea that the dogs were shot to cover the previous sound of a murderous gunshot works. If Phoebe really were dropped off after an argument on the side of the highway with luggage her first instinct would have been to hitch hike and I assume her height, gender nd the obvious presence of suitcases created a sense of urgency in her situation, seeing at least the first or second person heading also toward the airport to pick her up, so that claim really doesn't seem to hold.
I'm veering more towards household bickering intensifying recently, Phoebe's decision to leave being financially inconvenient to the flatmates and them feeling vulnerable to retribution once she was safely out of state due to dog fighting and drugs and their drug induced fears of being dobbed in.
