I didn't see this specifically posted about, so I'll mention it- BT made it a point to address the defense attempting to put the blame on innocent friends just before they came asking for the plea deal. I don't have his quote, but if anyone can find that, it felt very satisfying to see him put the smack down on the defense team regarding that.
I honestly think, or hope, that the defense could be brought up on a professional ethics charge for that maneuver.
Providing a defense does not mean blaming innocent people.

BTW - has it been confirmed that the house was unlocked on the night? Was it always unlocked, maybe to let people come and go if it was a party house? We know he was scoping out the area for a long time and that it didn't seem like a random attack but was it targeted because he knew it was always unlocked?
I watched something (or it was a podcast) recently (dont recall the name of it) but yes the door BK came through that fateful night was unlocked. Haven't heard anything about whether doors were always kept unlocked. jmo

You can't get blood from stone.

That's the phrase that keeps popping into my head when I read about what people are expecting him to say.

jmo
MOO is that those details are all he now has left as power over anyone. I'll be very surprised if he ever mentions it to anybody or writes it down.

Is it really possible that there are no digital footprints showing that he at least looked at their accounts online? And who in the world was Papa Roger then, law-enforcement?

They did a very good job. An excellent job, considering they weren't from a jurisdiction that provided much experience in murder investigations. They were suddenly pushed into the deep end of the pool with these murders and they handled it well.

Same for the prosecutor and judge. They all did good work.

Everyone involved in the investigation, the arrest, and the prosecution of this case did such a good job. So many cases go unsolved or get tangled in endless legal machinations. Moscow PD, Idaho and PA state police, the FBI, and the prosecution team did stellar work to get the victims and survivors justice. And Judge Hippler--there are not enough words to thank him for his knowledge, wisdom and compassion.

I don’t know.
I can’t find the original picture they are talking about.
But if it’s true what folks are saying, that’s on his attorneys for allowing that. Very disrespectful.

Does he qualify as an Incel?
Many think so, yet I remember someone brought that up very early on after he was arrested, and the message was removed because it was considered speculation.

The prosecutor could easily have made this a condition of the plea deal and they chose not to.
But would there be any truth to BK's statements?

As much as I want a reason to why he did all of this, I doubt we would get that anyway. The cowardly loser doesn't deserve the last word today.
There is no good reason, so hopefully he goes irrelevant.

Who made the comment “when he slithered through the door”? Was it the judge? I thought it was a perfect description.
Judge Hippler.

Me too, It's SO easy to blend in at college house parties when they're full.
I thought of that but he’s much older than the usual college house parties.

Was anyone else surprised BK gave each family member and friend full attention and eye contact (or at least he was looking in their direction), even more so than his attorneys were. So often that's the last thing defendants do. I was most torn up by the surviving roommate and friend speaking on behalf--their lives are completely destroyed by BK and the insensitivity of the public.

But would there be any truth to BK's statements?
It would really depend on what he would say.
Some things, like “you must disclose where the murder weapon went” (not saying that would be important, just making up an example) could then be looked into to see if they could actually recover said weapon.

Other things, like “why did you do this” would be more difficult to verify the truthfulness of his statements. I think the difficult part is that on the surface it appears that the state did not attempt to have any other details given up/clarified/etc as part of the deal. Some of the families have said repeatedly that they want some more answers and feel like now they won’t be getting them.

Obviously, from the State’s filings as well as what they said in the presser, they do not believe that have any legal ability to require him to disclose anything like that and, as we know, that wasn’t made into any part of the plea agreement.

I wish they would quit attacking Bill Thomson
Well yes... I think he made the best decision rather than the risk of a juror holding out and BK 'walking' or some other equally horrible outcome (reduced sentence or parole in ten years ?) ; but imo, they can say whatever they want, as long as they don't do anything to get into trouble.
They are hurting so much and it's not going to get easier, again my .02.

At least S.G. held it together for his statement.

I've seen from a distance what the death of an adult child did to people and it's not good.
A friend's 29 year old friend (co worker) and his parent's only child, passed from a winter icy road car accident where no one else was involved.
His dad has lost the plot so to speak and is not doing good at all.
How much worse murder would affect a person !
Loss is loss but for a brutal homicide my opinion is that the grief may be even more difficult ?
Sorry if I'm not explaining this right.

Where a perp willingly snuffed out your precious child's/sibling/cousin/friend's life.
Not going to judge them, & not saying anyone else is.

I don't know at all what they're enduring, and just following this case I'm reeling from the horror they are going through.
Wish somehow it could get easier for them.
Probably only when BK passes, and that could sadly be many, many years.

The families of these four young people have been sentenced to a lifetime of grief.
They can say whatever they want to say.
Imo.
