GUILTY PLEA DEAL ACCEPTED - 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #114

I wonder what was missing on his food trays and if he's a strict vegan in prison.

"Food items also were missing on several occasions from his meal tray
and not addressed when Kohberger asked,
he asserted in another grievance.

'I wish to, without exception,
receive these replacements',

wrote the man referred to in the prison system as Resident #163214.

'The nutritional standard is not being upheld
unless I receive my full tray'."

See segment at 14mins.
He tells the jail review panel that one day he hopes to enjoy the same conditions as another ' high profile inmate on J block'

Joel from STS said last month that BK would regret not taking the DP because on J Block, only DRow inmates including Daybell had different conditions, more association time and had card games going and all got along.
LOL!

This will have me chuckling for days! 🤣

Seems they hit a nerve with him pretty quickly. I’m not so sure he "gets" it - this is a different world in which he’s now resides. One surrounded by mostly predators who will eat him alive if he’s going to fill out paperwork as a means of curbing unwanted attention. `Dem boys won’t mess around with no paperwork.

So true. A long time ago, I read an article, I think in The New Yorker, about prison guards. They followed them through training and their first few weeks, etc. Of course it is low paying and really thankless job. Corruption becomes the norm. But they sat through the training, some future guards quit on the spot.

But one they profiled was young and earnest. Very early, the first week, a prisoner punched him in the face just to showoff to the other prisoners. The guard did as he was trained to do, reported it. In doing that, though, he lost all respect from the other guards and the prisoners considered him an easy target. He didn't last long, he quit. And he wasn't wrong, of course, except that prison has its own rules. Take the hit, shake it off and build up your own reputation, understanding the difference between rules and how things really work. The guard failed to understand that.

Which is exactly why it reminded me of BK. He has now made it crystal clear he is a whiny crybaby and that it is working, their efforts are getting to him. So guess what happens next? They double down. They must be thrilled, seriously thrilled. He just made everything 100 times worse for himself and I couldn't be happier for him. MOO.

I wonder how I, some lady sitting in my armchair and living a law-abiding life, know not to tattle-tail, make requests, and complain like a Karen in prison and he doesn't?!

He has zero resiliancy and zero awareness. Even as much as we've learned about him in recent days, it is still shocking that he complained about PRISON within a day.

I bet he complains again.

Yes. Passive-aggressive is an art form in prison environment. The guard above, should have just sucked uo the punch...and for the rest of the year, anything this "puncher" wanted during his shift...forget it. Deaf to you buddy. That will teach him to punch a guard, and let the other guards know, that the "puncher" deserves "extra attention". LOL. And his friends get the same treatment.

It is a power play. Game up.

JMO as an autistic person: I have to work to keep in mind that “rules” are not ironclad and sometimes leave room for interpretation. He was probably given some sort of rules or expectations for prisoner behavior and legal requirements for nutrition etc. Now he is fussing bc the others are “breaking the rules” and that could be causing confusion that his brain can’t reconcile.

This happens for me in environments like school. When I would see others getting a pass at breaking rules, I’d get confused then on which rules are actually set in stone? Who is allowed to bend them? and under what circumstances? Should I follow the rules™️? Even that one I don’t agree with? etc

Y'all may be happy to know it’s a very uncomfortable feeling 😝 like my brain is wrinkled from trying to work out how to behave and what to expect from the behavior of others. It may take him longer than other cons to get his bearings in this new environment, socially. Oh well.

I'm right there with you! It's in every prison movie ever made, every book, it's part of our collective cultural awareness that we all know that prison has different rules.

IIRC, his family didn't discuss the crime with him during the jailhouse calls. I get it to a point but only to a point. You have to ask, how can you not. If anything, just why. Why did you do it. Did you do it? This is a psychotic level of the elephant in the room to not ask. So BK has been protected and living in this weird world of his own making for apparently a long time.

Now that he no longer has the protection of his fantasy world this is what we get. BK scribbling weird overly formal notes: "I wish to discuss if I may be transferred....I wish to speak to you soon." Yeano. That's going to happen the first of never.

I understand the families feelings , I would feel the same . IMO the images released that I seen could have been a lot worse. I have seen worse . I don’t think they will release images of bodies.
Agree 100%

Applies WSU
Buys Ka-bar knife March 2022
Applies for Pullman Police internship April
Buys a new phone and gets a new cell number June
Arrives WSU end June

' This information was all gathered from the Samsung Galaxy phone Kohberger owned and had purchased in June, around the same time he moved to Washington from Pennsylvania. '

Copstop ( forgotten which month) ' Can I take your cell number?' BK replies ' Why?
December, BK getting antsy during the manhunt searches ' wiretapping'
August IIRC.

One theme which crops up in the the WSU interviews is ' calculated ' and incidences where BK says stuff which he knows can get him into trouble ( discriminatory? they didn't specify) so he skirts the risk and covers that with caveats and qualification.

( I'll find the supp numbers if anybody needs them)

why mention it?
Because the ex CO Anthony Gangi who runs ' Tier Talk' says that he thinks that BK has read all the small print on sexual harassment and PREA law in prisons ( TT is on Ytube) and knows how to work the system - the rules. Gangi covered all the reasons - legit and otherwise - how inmates work their rights and talks about manipulation eg how to get moved from a unit you don't like.

Second, WSU witnesses, Cellebrites and even Howard Blum said BK had a list of notes wrt to how he planned to fight any WSU sexual harassment allegations. Plus, recall when he was first arrested and we saw state's list of items?

Also, @Ghostwheel raised the risk of civil suits yesterday

or... he was trying to flirt with her in his awful way because a) if he succeeded that would prove he is ultra-manly or some such nonsense or b) it was safe to be "rejected" and it would not be his fault because he is creepy, it was because she was gay. jmo
All of the above and throw in just for the heck of it to torment her in his own perverse little way.

I’m not sure he was ready for prison life. His handwritten complaint is in the article. His handwriting is atrocious.

Bryan Kohberger says inmates threatened to sexually assault him

Editor’s Note: This story contains discussions of rape or sexual assault that may be disturbing. Reader discretion is advised. If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, you can find help and discreet resources on the National Sexual Assault Hotline website or by calling 1-800-656-4673.
(NewsNation) — Convicted quadruple murderer Bryan Kohberger has asked to be transferred from the solitary confinement section of an Idaho prison where he is housed after some inmates there allegedly threatened to sexually assault him.

Kohberger filed an initial complaint July 30 saying other inmates were flooding their cells on purpose while subjecting him to “minute-by-minute verbal threats/harassment,” according to documents obtained by NewsNation. In a follow-up communication Aug. 4, Kohberger claimed one inmate told him, “I’ll butt f— you,” with another allegedly saying, “The only a– we’ll be eating is Kohberger’s.”
Sounds like SOP in any prison across America for a newly incarcerated mass murderer. Sorry, not sorry Bry Bry.

After complaining about his food tray, you can be sure what he'll be sent now will be scary IMO.

For sure this murderer is plotting away day and night IMO. He does things with purpose and an agenda. His wheels have been turning about gaming the system since the day he committed the crimes and then went into overdrive after his arrest.

I'd love to know what kind, if any, access he's had to legal information in general since his arrest? I'd bet he read up on it while he was home from WSU, pretty well knowing he was going to be arrested.

He is trying to make a case by documenting all of this, even though it's commonplace in most prisons across the country.

Ugh. He might be "documenting" just like complaints were documented against him at WSU.

I hear ya (and come from a spicy ND family - I get it). But, it's also rather common knowledge that "prison rules" exist. He could follow those rules. Like, keep your head down, don't snitch, don't act like a priss to make yourself a target.

There are experts who can be hired to prepare new convicts who don't come from a background where they know prison life. I'm shocked, actually, that BK seems to be unprepared.

But, then again, as suggested upthread, he might be enjoying documentation in the hopes it will be useful to him. I don't think it will be useful, fwiw.

Maybe he'll collect the data of his complaints and produce an academic paper about it. (Joking...sorta.)

Bryan is the second coming of Sarah Boone, this time in male form.

Ngl, I honestly hope he doesn't have a day of peace for the rest of his life. I don't want him to be actually harmed or anything, but just to have little grievances everywhere with everyone and everything. Just to always have something that's not quite right and that he feels he needs to complain to fix it. This is something that can eat you up little by little....

This is something my autistic child struggles with in school, knows the school rules blindfolded. Can she wrap her head around all the unwritten rules that come with schools, especially social ones? Not a chance. She has lots of people helping to teach her these unwritten rules explicitly but it is one of the hardest things we've had to tackle as she gets older.

If his brain works in a similar way then he is going to be in for an absolutely miserable time, forget any other issues that come with prison. I am thrilled for him. He's in prison, no one gives two hoots if he doesn't understand and his brain will likely be his own downfall.
