GUILTY PLEA DEAL ACCEPTED - 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #114

Super grateful for these images because I had been trying before to figure out where exactly the beer pong table was. I've wondered if the positioning of that table didn't somehow result in the "flash/bang" I think one of the surviving roommates said she'd heard that table moving right around the time of the flash & firecracker noise. What's that gold thingy behind the beer pong table?

Getting another couple images online here, those are lights, and lots of electrical cords down there on the ground:
View attachment 610097

And I think that's a power strip in the viewer's far-left corner there. Ah! And look at this:

That's a weight, I think (?? maybe? still looking at it) like a little dumbbell for arm exercises. Did that fall? I won't say why I'm asking this (graphic), but did he have this upstairs? And then did it later maybe fall, perhaps off the table when he went downstairs and the table started moving?

Having someone look at it with me here, too. Is that a handweight or a lantern?

Looks to be a handweight.

From the video, look a how easy it is to get to a car from the back of the house. Not up the hill, but across the back. No effort at all to get there.1755839314918.webp

It's not.

The orange bag is the bag that Officer Nunes (whose bodycam we are watching) grabs out of the trunk of his police car when he arrives. At that point, he thinks unconscious person...so that is likely first aid and basic resuscitation kit. Which has thick white stripes on each side that appear to attach to black areas on the bag. The end pouches of that bag appear to have a big black rubbery sections on them. My computer isn't that great, but here are some screenshots of that bag in his trunk between 2min 25-2 min 28 in the video:
Screen Shot 2025-08-22 at 12.27.02 AM.webpScreen Shot 2025-08-22 at 12.35.26 AM.webp

He puts it down right outside the hallway to Xana's room...either right before or right after HJ takes him into the room the first time. When it's on the floor, the ends of the bag kinda squish up against that white side stripe....and that's what is giving it the impression of being a hand weight sitting right next to the orange emergency bag...the not so great quality of the video doesn't help that much.

I think I know what path your mind took you....and I get it. But if it had been used on Kaylee, Nunes would have seen blood on it in when he went to put his bag there....and then he def would not have put his bag there.

Hope this puts your mind at ease.

Musing about the following: with all the stir the murderer caused at WSU before and after November 13 via his lurking, staring, blocking of egress, display of argumentativeness, misogynistic tendencies, etc., ad nauseum, I wonder if, among all the tips, his name was ever mentioned to LE. Anyone knowing his car (even though at first its year was not included in the span released) could have further wondered about the guy because of the make/color of the vehicle he was driving. Not to mention the scuffed up hands after the fact. Lying low for a week after the murders.

Seems like I read somewhere that he had crossed someone's mind, and I know one WSU staff person didn't have a glowing prediction for his future, but as to an actual tip, maybe not.....

I like to think *I'd* have been calling his name right in. In my mind, I'd have been all over it. Because in retrospect, it's easy. Enter reality. I wasn't thinking student, really, much less PhD student. Chances are the killer was regarded at WSU as falling somewhere between being a pain and being a huge creepy creeper rather than as a wildly dangerous pre- or post-homicidal maniac.

Luckily LE didn't need my help and did a beautiful and relatively quick job of putting the complicated puzzle pieces together, with the finale occurring in Pennsylvania, all tied up with a bow and some handcuffs.

I already know his motive: Stalking, and the murder weapon is irrelevant to his conviction.
You cannot be sure of his Motive, as you cannot know whether he had any personal interaction, or any specific incidents or verbal conversations , or otherwise, with any one or more of the victims. None of us knows that,
I’m not saying the knife had anything to do with his conviction, but the prosecution could want to retrieve it, if they knew where it was .

Does anyone know how the Plea Deal, Kohberger pleading GUILTY to all four (4) Counts of First Degree Murder, came about ? Did the Prosecutor’s Office first float the deal to Kohberger ? Or did Kohberger approach the Prosecutor’s Office , asking to have the Death Penalty removed ? Do we have the Link, Quote, News Article , or Narrative posted here on Websleuths ? I have exhaustively searched , but I cannot find it. I do not know how that Deal came about , thank you very much !

The officer whose bodycam we are watching is Officer Nunes (you can see how it matches his report in the MPD doc releases #3. He was only 22... :(

Dylan did good job of describing what she saw to Nunes. I was impressed at how she held it together well enough to answer his questions and keep answering them.

I know some of HJ's reaction is calm reaction is shock....but also...I think he is a person who snaps right into a practical, take care of a situation mode the moment he senses a crisis. He could have waited on Emily to get dressed and walk over with her...he didn't...he went straight over himself...he went right in the house....and once he knew he got BF and DM out and got them calling the cops while he went to get a knife to make sure the murderer wasn't still there. Then he checked Xana's pulse just to be thorough....because while he knew she and Ethan were dead, he had to check if there was any tiny chance she was still alive and he could help.....and if Xana was cold, he knew both of them were long gone. That poor poor boy.

Those poor poor kids.

It’s my birthday for 45 more minutes and I don’t want to go to sleep heartbroken, so I will save this horror for tomorrow.

Thanks @MassGuy for finding it.

Happy Belated Birthday!

Also, Stalking per se is not an actual Motive, it is an action , like Hunting, Walking, Running, Spying, etc. Stalking is something Kohberger liked to do, stealthily spying on his prey, IMO, but it is not the Reason, or his Motive. He isn’t telling us his reason or motive for the four killings, so we do not know, He would most likely lie about it , anyway, even if it was a requirement of the Prosecution granting the Plea Deal . MOO.

Brownie. I had to spend 5 days in a county jail and I must say, his food looks WAY more appetizing than what I had.
The beans alone look more appetizing than what I had in elementary school.

I see just what you're talking about watching the bodycam video. Much thanks on that, I'm sure you're right. I was picking through the video and that object shows up a couple of times, and it has to be that bag, just at a strange angle.

Here is where the posts first began here regarding the convicted murderer accepting a plea deal, starting with post #628:

PLEA DEAL REACHED - 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #109

The defense reached out to the prosecution, they came to an agreement for the resulting plea deal; source below.

The plea deal — the defense requested an offer from the prosecution — will take the death penalty off the table in exchange for Kohberger pleading guilty to all charges: the four first-degree murder counts and an additional charge of felony burglary.

That was in ISP document 32--but that's because it was a retelling. Doc 32 was written by ISP Detective Talbott. He was writing down what Moscow Sgt. Blaker said to him as a summary of the situation.

So, Blaker got it wrong in his summary/retelling and Talbott merely documented it.

The blood was on south side of the house, towards the west end. Maddie's bed was right up against that wall (the head of the bed directly up against the west wall, the side of the bed along the south wall of her room). And Ethan's head, as was said in the police reports, was up against that wall.

Gray Hughes does a good visual explaining it right here (and if you go back further in the video he uses some of the crime scene photos, the girls' social media, and his 3d model of the house to show how the bed, Ethan's body position, and the outside stain line up.

Ok. Thanks. There’s so much disinformation and errors in retelling, it’s hard to keep up.

It makes me sad and frustrated that many of them had a subconscious sense that alerted them to potential danger, but they didn’t put enough value in their gut feelings to do something. Even one of those keychain canisters of Mace might have given them a chance.

Getting more angry by the day with this case as the details are being released, and 'bushy eyebrow' daily updates.

It begs the question, will his first jailhouse tattoo be an expiry date etched into his forehead.

Things are not going well for poor Bryan Kohberger in prison.

On July 30, Kohberger submitted a handwritten note requesting that he be placed in a different facility, after just one night in the J-Block at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Boise

[My best transcription] “As I continue the SPT phase, I wish to discuss if I may be transferred to another AC-seg setting, as B-Block. Not engaging in any of the recent flooding/striking as well as being subject to minute-by-minute verbal threats/harassment and on that and other bases [sic] Unit 2 of J-Block is an environment that I wish to transfer from if possible. I request a transfer to B-Block immediately. Wish to speak with you soon.”

Just five days later, on Aug. 4, Kohberger complained of sexual harassment in a concern note to a prison guard after an inmate allegedly told him
Is it justice which Bryan is now championing, or just simple kindness?

This body cam footage is not graphic, so don't worry about seeing something awful.
snipped

The footage is not graphic but I do offer a small warning that I got a little seasick watching the bumpy video (it's body cam so of course it will be bumpy). I couldn't watch all of it for that reason.

That's a heads up for anyone sensitive to motion sickness like I am - maybe watch in short spurts.
