GUILTY PLEA DEAL ACCEPTED - 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #114

they posted on their FB page selling their restaurant's furniture and appliances
Yes. I know. But some people were still confused about it being open because the Facebook page was still active. It can get confusing when a defunct physical business still posts with the business name.

Hot mic.....
Can hear everyones convos lol

The mods gave me permission to post this particular video, as it's Bethany Funke's first formal interview with police (she did speak to officers on scene prior). This interview occurred about an hour and 45 minutes after police were called to the scene.

Reminder: Plunder is not typically an approved source.

2 minutes in, my heart breaks for BF, these girls were traumatized beyond words.

Also, the investigators is so gentle with her. I'm grateful for that.

I think, in time, he'll want to hear more of his own voice, more than just his conversations with Mother and Father.

I don't think he'll ever talk about the crime. Instead he'll provide endless diatribes about other criminals, in general and in specific, about their motives and missteps. If he talks like he writes, it'll be wordy but not illumininating.

I think he considers himself an academic and an intellectual, of which he roundly is neither.

This,case is on 20/20 now

I just finished watching it.

It was a very interesting and heartfelt recap. It’s important to remember that these were four kids with real lives and personalities, prior to being the four victims.

I don’t think there was anything new that we didn’t know, but I was profoundly touched at the very end, when Ethan’s mom was thanking Kristen Mittelman.

Of course because @othram raced to match the DNA and identified the suspect, but also because of how the Chapin family drew strength from knowing the Mittelmans were on the case.

I appreciate them, as well as the LE who investigated the crime scene, WSU which helped with narrowing down the students who owned a white Elantra, and LE in Pennsylvania who pulled the garbage, found the necessary paternal DNA, and grabbed up the murderer. I appreciate the prosecutors and Judge Hippler.

I appreciate the friend who saw the victims and protected the roommates from that knowledge while he could.

A long and winding road that ended up with the murderer done and dusted.

Couple new pieces (or at least some clarity) on tonight's 20/20 about the murders, which was very well done:

As far as the timeline goes, Xana's watch (steps) and phone activity shows that she was still moving around at about 4:12am and shortly thereafter, which is a couple minutes after Kohberger would have made entry. Lt. Gilbertson (ISP Lead Detective) says that Kaylee and Maddie were killed very quickly, but were stabbed repeatedly many times.Something alerts Kohberger that Xana is there, and he stops what he is doing. Xana runs, and Kohberger attacks Xana in her doorway, where she "fought like hell." Kohberger then sees Ethan, and reaches over and stabs him, killing him instantly. He continues to fight with Xana, ending up on the floor where he kills her.

Interesting tidbit: The founder of Othram says the DNA that was flown down to their lab by law enforcement, was a lot of DNA. It was not a trace amount, and was in fact 500 times more DNA than they usually see in low quantity DNA cases.

Kohberger only left the house 3 times while he was in Pennsylvania, and was wearing rubber gloves each time. There was conversation among the family speculating as to Bryan's involvement, but they dismissed it.

Kohberger inquired as to "which [media] outlets were circling" after his arrest. Clearly surprised about the amount of attention. Totally normal concern for an innocent person.

Christmas night Kohberger was on a rudimentary serial killer website and clicked one killer after another for two hours. And finally the backstory about the Chapin family involvement with Othram. Kristen Mittelman, co-founder of Othram along with her husband David, had a chance encounter with Ethan Chapin's mom years ago, apparently prior to Kohberger being identified. Kristen told his mom "we're working on your case, and everything is going to be ok. "They relied on this to get them through their toughest days, and now want to advocate for the work being done at Othram.

You’re right, MG. I don’t think we had heard previously that they had so much DNA, so I’m wrong and we did get some new facts.

Ha, imagine if AT had gone to trial with that BS about trace amounts of DNA, touch DNA, and trying to negate IGG altogether. Then the Mittelmans in court blowing that out of the water.

To me, it was him attacking xana, moving on to Ethan, then coming back to kill Xana. I imagined it that way, but that's the first I'd heard that. Also appears he fell down during the struggle, or at least got down on the floor. Perhaps this is where the "sat down" thing came from.

Also the watch step count helping pin down her time of death, along with her phone. We'd heard about it but I hadn't heard an investigator say that I don't think.

Yeah, I latched on to that DNA thing because I keep having arguments with people who call it "a speck of dust," or a "sliver of DNA."

Not at all.

Well, just got done watching tonight's 20/20 coverage of the case, and it was refreshingly new info. Good backgrounds on each of the victims, Kohlberger's background in PA, Katherine Ramsland, his apartment at WSU, the interior of the murder house. where he entered and exited, Murphy the dog, why Dylan and Bethany didn't call 911 sooner, and where police got "I'm here to help you" from. I couldn't figure it out since the victims were dead. Dylan heard him say it. And the Mad Greek restaurant. I'm now positive that Maddie was his intended target and he somehow found her working at the Mad Greek and targeted her. Everyone else was unexpected collateral damage to him. What I still don't know is how he knew which bedroom was Maddie's to head straight to it. He must have stalked the house. And with that much DNA, there's no possible way that the IGG was ever going to be thrown out. Everything about the case is so much clearer now.

So Ted Bundy was his role model. Figures- he also attacked sleeping coeds for the sexual gratification.

According to the ISP report, the crime scene in the living room showed a lot of blood on he walls, the half wall and drops of blood on the beer pong table. He had to of chased Xana in that room at some point.

One interesting tidbit in the BF interview posted in the previous thread--BF says that KG had decided she wasn't going to Texas. With Murphy missing, was that why she was calling JD over and over, at one point telling him that they had a dog together? It was because she couldn't find Murphy?

Also--in the Nancy Grace interview with KG's parents, SG said he was yelled at by the judge in a closed hearing to stop talking to the press--would this have been Judge Judge? The timeline seems to fit him better, but it's hard to imagine him yelling at SG lol.

I just don’t get, if Maddie was his target, why he would be surprised to find so many other people in that house. He clearly staked out the house and had to have known there were other people there. Maybe he just really wanted to do it and knew he’d never be able to get her alone.

IMO because breaking and entering, controlling life and death, overpowering an incapacitated victim are part of the sexual motivation. In fact, IMO that is the sexual event.

He was willing to take risks toward that end, though I think he just hadn't factored for KG being in the bed too, and that alerted Murphy and the other roommates -- for all of his preparation, it was grossly and poorly planned.

And yet, all that carnage didn't unnerve him in the least. A couple of hours later, he's talking to Mother... taking a selfie... callous.

I am so sorry for what the surviving roommates went through and are going through. I hope they find some consolation in knowing that how deeply they feel this trauma is a sign of how good and caring and real they are.

Complete opposite of the human imposter who created all this pain. He's hollow, shallow, dark.

He chose evil.
