GUILTY PLEA DEAL ACCEPTED - 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #114

Why would anyone sent this killer money? I can understand his family sending money.

Half of the money sent to BK should be garnished for his restitution.

Because some killer have fan clubs of (crazy, IMO) women that think they are in love with the killer. BK has a BIG fan out there. Likely more than the one I've run across.

That is so sick and weird. I have read about women like this. I won't even try to understand it.

New rule. If I could be in charge, I would cap commissary accounts at a modest amount. Any amount over that goes directly to restitution.

Alas....

Probergers say he's innocent despite his plea. Sigh.

It's not just hybrystilian (sp?) women Imo. There are very many 'Bryan is innocent' type threads on Reddit just for starters. There's a bunch of people, men as well as women, who continue to twist themselves into agonisingly shaped pretzels, creating the most bizarre theories to account for their conviction that he is innocent. Moo Some of them are just unbelievably concerning...well actually all of them, though some more than others. Jmo

In my opinion, everything BK does is for one reason and one reason only — to benefit himself in the best possible way. I don’t think any of his post-crime decisions have been made with the intent to torture the survivors and the families or drag out their pain. I don’t say that because I think he’s above such evil. I say that because I don’t think he’s capable of being cunning or manipulative. Those are traits that require a significant amount of social intelligence, and he has none.

I can’t pinpoint what it is exactly, but there’s just something about him that’s missing. I truly perceive him as subhuman. It’s like he’s Frankenstein’s monster. All I see is a detached, man-shaped robot devoid of humanity. His sole purpose in life is to satisfy his curiosities and make himself comfortable.

I don’t fully understand it myself but a sense of belonging is a fundamental human need. I think a lot of people jump on these bandwagons because they long to be part of a group. It also gives them a false sense of importance because there’s an us-versus-them mentality and they crave the attention.

great post, I think you are right on. also, some women like "bad boys" etc, but fawning over an incarcerated bad boy is ultimately a safe way to indulge that in that he can never come after you, especially if he is doing LWOP.

But it would specifically have to be an appelate lawyer since he's convicted. Not sure if PD's do appelate work unless they are with the Innocence Project or something. I think you can only claim Ineffectiveness of Counsel on the trial attorney.
In the US, the sixth amendment to the constitution says that we are entitled to an attorney (regardless of ability to pay), for the whole process. As for whether public defenders handle the appeal process, it varies by jurisdiction, according to a quick google search. like i said, JMO and not a lawyer

I'm not disputing his right to an attorney. I just don't know if appelate ones are PDs and that you can't claim "Ineffectiveness of Counsel" on the trial attorney without good cause. It has nothing to do with whoever is his appelate attorney. Trial attorneys aren't usually the appelate attorneys. It's a specialty of law.

Over 2,300 pages of forensic reports have been released. Much redacted, and I can't make sense of the rest for the most part. Of note though, some photos of the sheath.

Wow. THE sheath.
Even with the ruler, the photos don't do it justice. 13" sheath. That knife was a holy hell dagger, oversharp.

To think of the (carbon) steel blade on that thing. Turned that loser into a lethal killing machine.

Horrible, horrible, horrible human beingoid.
