GUILTY PLEA DEAL ACCEPTED - 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #114

it is completely bizarre... honestly they should have let the people decide DP or no DP based on mitigating or aggravating circumstances. although he claims to be on the spectrum and having certain issues and disabilities, I still think his level of functionality is quite high and he also fit enough to kill 4 young healthy people in a single go, so mitigation seems scarce..like almost non-existent.

Visual Snow? not really a mitigation factor either..like saying you can't give me the DP because I have tinnitus...

I think it was disgraceful and I was not satisfied. I hope somehow it all gets reversed and sent to a jury trial. mOO
I think it would be VERY risky to go to trial now.

So many uncertainties. There was a minefield the prosecution needed to move through.
---The DNA admission into evidence could implode.
---And the two survivors, not calling 911 until noon the next day? They would have been really poor witnesses during cross examination, imo.
---And there were potential questions about the phone and the cell towers because it moved through areas with no cell coverage, leaving the defense free to fill in the gaps themselves.

I was nervous about the trial as it was approaching. I think the confession was a very lucky thing to happen just in time. IMO

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

Just stepping aside from the individual in question, I actually have a real problem with this staff member not facing some kind of charge. The cameras are there for safety. The prisoner does not have any control or veto for them being there. They film them all the time - sleeping, dressing, using the toilet. The duty of care breach is one I find disgusting. I don't care who the subject was or what he did - I care that someone exploited that position of power for money. And they're not getting any consequences for it. If you did it in a school, in a hospital, in a public bathroom, you'd be charged. But it's an inmate, oh, never mind?

MOO
Totally agree !

Sure. I agree with you. But what set those events off what development?. Bugging me.

. He "may" have been coddled and overly protected all his life

My guess is that his family just caved and he always got his way

I think his family did give in to his whining and complaints

A lot seem to believe this about his family, but what do people really think they would have done so differently if he were their son to raise? Keeping in mind you want to have a relationship of some kind with your son, you want it to feel positive at least sometimes, and you need some cooperation by him, so he'll participate in seeing doctors, therapists, and going to rehab.

"Family of Bryan Kohberger's Victim

Slam Lifetime Movie Stars

for Prancing Around in Fake Blood on TikTok.

Lifetime’s new movie 'crosses every line'.

Kaylee's parents also slammed the TV network for exploiting the tragedy,
declaring in a statement:

'Yes, the case is over.
Yes, there is a story behind the case.
Yes, Lifetime and its parent company are just trying to make a buck.
Yes, the actors and actresses have shown poor taste.

The statement continued:

'Yes, we are hurt.
Yes, we are disappointed.
Yes, we miss Kaylee and Maddie every day!
Yes, it has been less than six months since the case resolved.
And yes, our emotions are still very raw'."

I personally have spoken to many "hopeless" parents, "stuck" with a bewildering stranger in their home, their son, who they don't like, or even want to recognize as their son.

We can't always "blame" parents, because often children raised in the same household turn out completely differently. People may not agree with me, but I see BK's family a victim of BK as well. Who wants to be the parent of a mass killer of a heinous crime? Or sibling?

Oh, I agree. I am sure there isn't actually "more or different" that *some* of these families could have done. We don't know either way really.

The reason schools, like WSU, take a long time to deal with these issues is, to a great extent, fear of lawsuits. More lawsuits will not fix that problem. Almost any termination of employment risks a lawsuit, especially with state employees. Most terminations will be reviewed by lawyers to assure due process was taken. Student terminations may also generate due process complaints.

If, somehow, this lawsuit progresses, there will be attempts to squash most subpoenas (in some cases, these are actually required to be contested by federal rules, especially with HIPPA rules - I don't know about FERPA).

In addition, if all records are released, the personal privacy of all persons making a complaint, in what was assumed to be a confidential manner, will be violated.

He really thinks he's important. It's disgusting. Just making his future life in the Gray Bar Hotel tougher for himself. People have long memories, he came from out of state to kill young people in THEIR state. And he's upset he's getting bananas that aren't organic or whatever. He deserves everything that's coming for him.
So then he can starve. No one is forcing him to eat bananas. He's lucky that he's getting fruit.

"So the staff can resolve it"

Does that mean Sir Bryan will get his perfect organic bananas?
Not likely. Doubtful that the prison will cater to that. He's lucky that they even accomodate a vegan diet.

Exactly 💯!!!

A lawsuit or only a warning
is nothing to be proud of.
It is a red flag for potential clients, employees or students
( in case of schools/universities).

So maybe some institutions will be more careful and tighten their procedures.

What happened to probationary period?
Every job has it as far as I know.

JMO
Yes, and it will scare off prospective students. My daughter had considered University of Rochester until we learned that one of the heads of the Linguistics department was being investigated for harassing females.

The gist of it is that he is threatening to harm himself if the guards don't move him away from inmates who are constantly tormenting him. You know... more Karen stuff.
Won't that just land him in solitary for awhile???

Poor adult Bryan. Can't handle taunts. It's not summer camp, Bryem.

His inflated sense of self seems to have no limit.

Unbothered by the brutal murders of four young people at his own hand but outraged over noise disturbing his dainty ears.

Can't help but to wonder if Bryem has long gotten his way by threatening to hurt himself.

Man up, Buttercup.

I seriously don't know why I am so shocked at BK's "Karen' behavior, but I really am!
Like, WHAT IN THE HECK?

I will never cease to be shocked and amazed at what criminals think they deserve!
It makes me want to scream at the audacity of this man!

Did he really think he wasn't going to get caught after murdering 4 people?
Did he even consider what prison might be like? Or, even, what kind of people he would be around in prison? What the food would be like?

News flash dude... The prison system will not change for you, it's called punishment for your crimes!

Let him rot. With his bananas.

Good. lol He thinks things are bad now? LOL 🤣

And he's only been in prison for what? A hot minute? He will spend his LIFE (which he took 4 of) in prison. Karen had better learn to let things slide off him because he's only making things worse IMO.

And he thinks he hates being there??? I'm sure all the prisoners and guards hate it more! LOL

Someone give that entitled complainer something to really complain about. Like no more organic vegan meals and brownies.
