Also, AT needs to go crawl into a hole now since she's proven she's nothing but an utter embarrassment to the legal system. The fact that she even hinted that someone else was responsible for this just a couple of weeks ago. She's a joke.
Sounds to me that she very successfully did her job. No death penalty was always her goal and she succeeded to work out a plea with the prosecution.

Thinking about first responders. Godspeed. Well done. Thank you for justice.

Do you think the there were any conditions to the plea from the state..ie Will there be any demand for full disclosure of where the knife is etc?

I’m half surprised, half not surprised. Defense has played all their cards & lost almost every hand. The bryring squad probably was what changed his mind in the end, along with finally taking legal advice instead of giving it, not that I am 100% happy at these turn of events but not about me at all. Been a long wait for this, for many people. Probably best he fades into obscurity, if he’ll allow it.

Wow! I have such mixed feelings.

IMO this should not have been allowed without consulting the parents of those who were brutally murdered.
We know the Gonclaves are unhappy, but there are three other victims’ families involved who may feel differently. The state can’t prioritize one family’s wishes over the others. And honestly, even if all the families were against the plea deal, the state also has to consider the best interests of others involved, including the traumatized witnesses who would have had to testify at a trial. That’s not even to mention the guaranteed appeals he’d be entitled to as a recipient of the death penalty, that could drag the whole thing out for years and constantly revisit every awful detail and reopen every old wound for the victims’ many loved ones. IMO, it’s understandable why the state made this decision. As difficult as it is, there’s a reason that victims’ families don’t get the final say in plea deals or sentencing.

News of the plea deal infuriated the family of victim Kaylee Goncalves.

'We are beyond furious at the State of Idaho,' they wrote on Facebook. 'They have failed us. This was very unexpected.'
:(

It's a HUGE win for him. Now he has the rest of his life to smugly grin over the power he has over the families, and the rest of us, in knowing his motive, plans, methods, etc. While the family has a good idea of who his intended target was, they'll never truly know, and will always wonder. BK is well aware of that, and probably enjoys the true power he has over the emotions of the victims families. All of us perpetually speculating, wondering, commenting, etc further feed his sense of power. Truly an evil person, and it's sad to see it triumph over good. This outcome is a runner up to his intended outcome of getting away with it, which I suspect deep down his knowledge of LE told him was probably not going to happen.

I don't know if there is a "best" decision in a case like this.....just due to the fact of a trial could end up with the person walking away, even in obvious cases. I am glad he will be locked up away from society as he should, forever. That's that.

I certainly hope the judge makes a part of the plea deal a stipulation or whatever that BK cannot profit during his incarceration from books, interviews, podcasts, whatever. I hope the judge says BK cannot discuss the crime or BK's "state of mind", even if he does not profit from the interviews or writings. or any such endeavor.
I wish terms of these plea deals would include no communication or visits with their loved ones - live the rest of their lives isolated and alone. That's what they have done to their innocent victims families.

I'm not sure that a judge can make that kind of stipulation, other than BK not profit from his crimes. I suspect he will eventually write a book with Raamsland, or she will write the book from interviews with him. No financial profit to BK, just the fame, the infamy.

...and the families of the victims a lot of additional trauma. No circus of a trial, no three or four decades of appeals, just lock him away and let him rot. Some closure at least.
The state could have saved a lot of money by putting him in front of a firing squad TOMORROW.

So I'm hearing Wednesday is the next court date that the judge will hear his change in plea.

I want to know why he committed the murders and who was his initial target. Why did he feel it was necessary to murder almost everyone in the entire house??

JMO.

My heart breaks for the families not ever knowing the details, not being able to face the man that murdered their child. Nothing will ever easy their pain.

Moo...

I feel sure the prosecution knew each family’s stance on the DP and trial. At least BK can never hurt anyone else. Will he be allowed in general population?

Holy! Was not expecting this

I have learned Bryan Kohberger has accepted a plea deal.
Sources confirm the prosecution has proposed dropping the death penalty in exchange for Kohberger pleading guilty to committing the four murders and serving life,
More details soon.
What a chicken💩 . He can kill, X4, but doesn't want to be killed in return for doing what he did. JMO!
