I am still wondering what made BK decide to take a plea. What a wild card. I was sure he would go to trial.

Maybe he is shamed by his stupidity, all of the errors he made.

A guest on Angenette Levy's how said his 'source' mentioned it was *BK's Mother (especially) & Father. He was protecting them from having to take the stand regarding the 3 phone calls he made to them right after the murders and the long distance drive from ID to PA with his Dad.

I find it hard to believe...but

Maybe there was also some embarrassing things coming in from the Prosecution. Many of the witnesses subpoenaed by the Defense to ID from PA said they had little actual knowledge of BK, the gym owner saying he never boxed in matches, only worked out.

Sentencing is scheduled for 7/23 at 9am, with option to continue into 7/24 if additional time is needed.

That is going to be a heartbreaking day with the victim impact statements.

They might, but his face and expressions won't lie. He can't FEEL empathy. imo

Though it's probably for the best it does leave a rotten taste in the mouth because he got everything he wanted, he still got control in the end, doesn't have to give the details so he can hold on to those over the heads of the families, no death penalty, this was the best case scenario for BK imo

This is not enough for this murderer :| He enjoyed it IMO. He just doesn't care. I'm totally disgusted and still feel so so sorry for these victims families that there was a plea deal.

I don't know though because if he sat through trial and it was 2-3 months of him sitting there looking like that enjoying all the evidence, getting to see his victims' photos and so on, I actually think that would have given him even more of what he wanted.

A courtroom - especially where such a serious matter of law and justice is being decided - is not a suitable place for anyone to act out emotions. It's not Reality TV.

I am surprised we did not hear sobbing, reactions even if unconscious. It is like a spell was cast over that courtroom. JMOO

I just finished watching. I was pleased that BK was required to admit to each charge and hear each victim’s name attached to the premeditated murder. The prosecutor seemed stressed but did a good job laying out the evidence. I felt bad for him trying to summarize all of that in a short time. He seemed emotional at the end when he too spoke of Maddie, Kaylee, Xana and Ethan.
When BK raised his hand to be sworn in, all I could think was THAT was the hand you murdered these innocent young people with.
Anyone know where BK’s parents sat?
