SCROLL DOWN FOR THE GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD
PLEASE READ AND POST ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE ON THIS THREAD
(Ghostwheel did the organizing and posting and so much work it makes my head spin.
Fraize somehow put it all together and made it work while doing a million other things.
SillyBilly works non-stop making sure the 40 thousand plus post discussion thread stays on topic in addtion to a million other things along with Fraize
Rikissa BreezyFlavor MadMcGoo and Darling139 work all over the forum making sure it continues to run smoothly. More on this great team later in the thread)

Welcome to the Nancy Guthrie Discussion Forum.

This forum has been created to make it easier to read and participate in specific topics related to the Guthrie case.

With the general discussion thread now exceeding 40,000 posts, it has become nearly impossible to locate information on individual subjects — such as evidence, sheriff interviews, timelines, or search efforts. This forum allows those topics to be separated into organized threads so members can quickly find and discuss what matters most.

You will see that several topic threads have already been started. If there is a subject you would like to discuss and you do not see a thread for it, you may start one. Please check first to be sure the topic does not already exist. If it does, post your information in the existing thread.

When creating a new thread, you will notice “prefixes” available in a dropdown box to the left of the title field. Please select the prefix that best fits your topic. If none apply, choose “Other.”

If you prefer to remain in the general discussion thread, that option is still available. Nothing is being removed — this simply gives members another way to navigate the case more efficiently.

It has been a while since we launched a new forum, so this may feel unfamiliar at first. That’s okay. You will quickly see how much easier it is to follow important developments when discussions are organized by topic.

As always:
Stay on topic.
Do not post unapproved sources.
DO NOT post random private people's names and claim they might be involved.
Think before you post.

You may be surprised at who is reading.

Let’s continue to post respectfully and keep our focus where it belongs — bringing Nancy home.

It been a while since we've had such a quick moving and heavily trafficked case discussion that it required its very own forum.

Just here to say THANK YOU for this! I looks like a lot of work went into this and I appreciate it! I was avoiding the main thread because it moved way to fast and had a lot of the same things over and over that it became overwhelming to keep up with. This format will make it so much easier to see specific questions and to discuss specific topics without scrolling through 20 pages to find it! Again, thank you!!

Safe to assume we should be posting here now? Sorry because I just posted in the old forum.

This is fantastic, thank you. I was wondering a couple of weeks ago if something like this would be an option but I ran screaming before I got around to inquiring. ;) Plus I was reluctant to propose more work for the intrepid moderators ...

Tricia, thank you so much for this!! It's exactly what I requested in one of the discussions threads about how to make WS better!!! I know you and the other admin spent a ton of time on this. Shout out to @Fraize too!

Apologies if I'm missing it, but would it be appropriate to start a devoted thread now for "latest updates" that can be accessed from the same place as the other threads rather than going to page one of the original thread?

EBM Or "breaking information" ... facts verified or pending verification ... new verified legit leads?

Hey Everyone,

Thank you for the kind words, but you’re giving me far too much credit.

GhostWheel did the heavy lifting. GhostWheel organized the structure, created the new threads, and carefully mapped out the topics so members can finally find information without digging through 40,000+ posts. That was a massive undertaking.

Fraize worked alongside GhostWheel on the prefixes and then handled the technical side of actually building the forum — the behind-the-scenes work most people never see (and that I freely admit I don’t understand!). It was a lot of work

SillyBilly has been tirelessly managing and cleaning up the main discussion thread and helped craft the detailed explanation post so everyone would understand how the new forum works.

And BreezyFlavor, MadMcgoo, Rikissa, and Darling136 have been working throughout the forum to keep everything organized, smooth, and running the way Websleuths should run — victim-focused, factual, and respectful.

My role? I sip margaritas, clap enthusiastically, and write posts like this. (Maybe I do a little more than that.)

But the real work? That’s this moderation team, and Fraize, who serves as our tech wizard and somehow turns our wild ideas into reality

They work hard. Every single day. Most of it is behind the scenes. Most of it never seen. And this forum absolutely would not exist without them and I can't thank them enough.
Tricia
