Police Find Body of Missing 3yo Girl in Septic Tank, Argyle, Texas

A 3-year-old girl reported missing by her family Tuesday was found dead this morning in a septic tank at her Argyle home, authorities said.

An investigator later noticed a missing cover on a septic tank about 20 yards from the home. A company spent 45 minutes pumping out the tank, and her body and the cover were found about 1 a.m., police said.

Cottle said the girls’ parents, who had recently moved to the home, had not noticed whether the tank cover was in place or missing.
