In my opinion, it is obvious that Alex Cox murdered Charles Vallow, and Lori was happy he was killed. She thought she was going to get a million-dollar life insurance policy (along with social security benefits for herself and her kids) and be free to to marry Chad.
One could ask "Where is the direct link that Lori conspired, planned with Alex, the murder of Charles Vallow?
IMO of course she conspired but we know more than the jury does.
Do you have PTSD from the Casey Anthony trial? I do. I will never be sure of a jury verdict again until I hear it announced.
What if someone on the jury is a very literal type person and they want to see that link to Lori and Alex planning Charles' death?
Don't get me wrong. The State has done a GREAT job in their case. I believe the prosecution will wrap it up in a neat tidy bow in their closing arugment. But still...
What do you think? Please vote in our poll.
Thanks,

Conspiracy to murder generally requires an agreement between two or more individuals to kill someone, the specific intent to commit murder, and an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy. The overt act must be something done in furtherance of the agreement, demonstrating that the plan is advancing from mere talk to action.

What was Lori's overt act? To me it would be contacting Alex and having him at her house when Charles arrived. But no communications I have seen show that the murder was planned. What have you all seen on this "overt act" issue as I haven't been able to watch the entire trial so far.

I think the most damning prosecution evidence came from Lori herself, in that phone message to Chad: "We got rid of him" and in the same call, mentioning the million-dollar life insurance (before she found out she was no longer the beneficiary, providing a financial motive. That, plus Lori's own lack of any of the evidence in her own defense -- other than maybe making people wonder what could be so fabulous about her green pepper chicken enchiladas -- did her in.

arizona didn't prove it - Lori did that all by herself
