If you thought the Olympic Games was the biggest international event this country has ever hosted, think again: it's beginning to pale into relative insignificance when compared to the visit of Pope Benedict later this year.
He's coming to attend the Catholic Church's World Youth Day and, even this far out from the July date — it will run from the 14th to the 21st — the size of the crowd heading for Sydney is enormous.
"It's a huge event for Sydney," deputy premier John Watkins say.

And details announced today are sure to attract even more — the pope's first appearance will be spectacular with Mr Watkins confirming "the pope in a boat-a-cade (will be) coming down the harbour"..
