The Census Bureau has a "population clock" that estimates a birth every seven seconds, a death every 13 seconds, and a new immigrant every 31 seconds.



Some experts figure it happened a while ago but officially, the population of the United States hit 300 million people Tuesday.


The Census Bureau's population clock rolled over to the big number Tuesday morning at 7:46 EDT.

How do they get a new immigrant every 31 seconds? That is mind boggling.

That's what needs to stop, IMO. The power grid is stretched to the limit. We can only provide services and infrastructure to so many people.

Commutes have stretched to 40 min. to an hour. Everone's quality of life will go down if we continue the way we are.
