Rapper DMX and entourage accused of gunpoint robbery in New Jersey

Rapper DMX (Earl Simmons) and his entourage have been accused of robbing a fan at gunpoint in Newark, New Jersey, Sunday.

The man, a 21-year-old Newark resident whom detectives didn't identify, told police that he encountered the rapper at about 12:30 a.m. at an Exxon station on the 600 block of U.S. Highway 21, according to a news release issued by the Newark Police Department. He told police that he had a brief conversation with DMX about rap music when suddenly a member of the rapper's entourage flashed a gun and demanded cash.

The alleged victim was carrying what seems to be a large amount of cash - $3,200 -which he handed over to DMX. He says the group then sped away in black cadillacs. DMX has previous convictions, including drug possession and animal cruelty. No charges have been filed and police are still investigating

DMX took the money, but the bodyguard was the one who glanced us at the handle of his gun," the alleged victim said. "He's like, 'Come on, yo, we out, we out,' talking to his entourage."*

The alleged victim also said that cameras caught the whole incident. The two men claim they followed the Escalades and got a license plate number, which they handed over to police.*

An attorney for DMX has said the allegations are totally false and any video evidence is 'dispositive'. Unfortunately, I don't know what that word means.

Anyone charged with animal offences .....well lets just say they are an idiot, and probably did exactly what the fan said he did, what a loser! I wish I could say what I really mean!
