''The Northeast Correctional Facility is less than a two-hour drive from Halifax.

A heavy police presence is in the area between Coalburn and Priestville as RCMP search for Clarke-McNeil. The public is being asked to stay away from the area, RCMP said.

Clarke-McNeil is described as five-foot-eight and 200 pounds, with long brown curly hair and a large beard. He was last seen wearing grey jogging pants and is not wearing a shirt. He also has tattoos on the upper portions of both arms.''

''He evaded police overnight, but was arrested Saturday morning on a stolen ATV, said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Andrew Joyce.

Guysborough RCMP received a report of a suspicious campfire in a "remote" location just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Joyce said. A call came in a short time later about someone driving an ATV on a road near the fire.

A report of a stolen ATV in Guysborough County was also received, Joyce said.

He said the combination of all of those things, plus general information that Clarke-McNeil could be in Guysborough County, gave the RCMP "a good inkling" that he was the one involved in these incidents.''
