Real estate agent Daiane Alves Souza, 43, has been missing for nearly a month in Caldas Novas, in southern Goiás, Brazil. She was last seen on December 17 in the building where her family lives in the city center.

According to her mother, Nilse Alves Pontes, 61, Daiane went to the building's basement to restore power after her apartment lost electricity. Security footage shows her in the elevator around 7 p.m. shortly before she disappeared. She was recording a video for a friend when she entered the elevator, exited it, and never returned.

The family states there is no footage of her leaving the building or returning to her apartment, deepening the mystery. Daiane was last seen wearing sandals and shorts and left her prescription glasses and belongings at home. Her mother is publicly appealing for answers about her daughter's whereabouts.

According to her mother, she had been having "disagreements" with other residents of the building.

The elevator video is in the source below (in Portuguese). (Let me know if it's not allowed.)

No footage was found of her leaving the building or returning to her apartment.

How perplexing.

This article includes the video she sent to her friend, where she leaves her apt, goes into the elevator, then gets out on the concierge level. There’s a man already in the elevator who gets out on the concierge level, as well.

I also noticed there's a time gap. I saw from the timestamp that she left the elevator at 19:00, yet the footage jumps to 19:05?

The inside of the elevator shows that she gets on the elevator at 18:57:28 on the 4th floor (it came from the 9th). He’s already in the elevator steps forward like he’s going to exit, but then doesn’t when she enters. They do speak to each other while it goes down to S2, and then they both get off at the same time at 18:58:05. The elevator goes back up to S1, then the time jumps to 19:00:00 and it’s at level S2 again. She gets back on the elevator alone, it goes to S1 level, and she gets off there. Then the time jumps to 19:05 and the empty elevator opens on the 11th floor.

My goodness, this reminds me of Elisa Lam.

On the video posted above, it seems odd to me that at approximate timestamps of 19:00:05, and 19:00:15, she looks directly into the camera. Time jumps are creepy to me. Wonder if the fellow lives in the building?

Is anyone able to translate what she is saying to her friend. I don’t know any Spanish, but it seems like when she gets to the desk on S1 she is saying something as if the call got cut off. You can hear the man from the elevator talking too.

She is talking to her friend, saying the circuit breakers are switched on normally. She said she would see now if they will continue to be suddenly switched off as in recent days. She told the man in the elevator that people had been turning off the power in her apartment, but she says they were "joking" and that she was recording to show her friend.

Doesn't LE do this at times, to avoid having us see something or someone....

She also said she was going to complain at the front desk about why her electricity was being cut off even though her bills were up to date.

watching to elevator video, it seems odd that the man in the elevator ( which came from the 9th floor/no stops to the basement) was going to exit the elevator until she got on then he stayed. IMO

I think he thought he was at the bottom floor he was going to.

The circuit breaker situation is interesting.

Her statements are a bit conflicting, indicating she doesn’t fully understand why the power’s going off.

Recording for a friend indicates she wants support, advice or someone she trusts to know about the situation. Telling the man someone’s intentionally doing it as a prank indicates she might feel targeted, while the complaint to concierge seems to be an attempt to rule out a financial cause of the problem.

If she was being targeted, could turning off the power be an attempt to get her out into public areas of the complex? Increase access to her?

I came across an old video where she accuses the building manager/landlord of the building where she disappeared of having punched her in the face. Apparently, she owned 6 apartments in the building and he didn't like it when she rented them out.

The landlord punched her, he would have access to power switches, he also knows entries and exits and locations of cameras. Unless he has a solid alibi he’s suspect #1 with me.

The landlord punched her? I missed that?
