Coast Guard searching Narragansett Bay for possible missing person - The Boston Globe

The Coast Guard was searching Narragansett Bay Friday evening after an unoccupied small boat found with its engine running off Newport, R.I., the agency said.

A 14-foot skiff was found 1.3 nautical miles south of Coggeshall Ledge, Coast Guard officials said in a tweet. The Coast Guard’s Castle Hill station and Cape Cod air station were searching for the person in the water.
