November 16, 2025

The Platte City Police Department issued a SILVER Alert on Sunday afternoon, as a 74-year-old man was reported missing.

The police said that Rick Hollman has been missing for two months as of Sunday. He was last seen in the Gladstone area driving north of Gladstone in a gold 2009 Lexus RX SUV with Missouri license plate VG6Z5S on Sept. 16, 2025.

(Note: The articles in MSM dated Nov 16, read as if the Silver Alert was just issued on Nov 16. Actually, it was first issued in September.)

I'm curious as to the diagnoised head injury. Recent? Was the memory issues tied into that, or was that preexisting? If so, why was he driving? - i.e. lived alone, access to his own vehicle or lived with family and just took off? (I've had elderly parents - they will do that even if told not to drive).

Don't see any updates of Rick's case....

My father, Rick Hollman, has been missing since Sept 2025. His cell was last known to be on around 0500 in the morning near the Lake Smithville. We have not been able to locate his vehicle or him. He had a known accident and was thought to be confused and driving erratically the night he went missing.

Please help.
