"Roger Jacobs, 54, was last seen by family leaving his Dover Gardens home in the morning of Tuesday 12 June. Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he suffers from dementia and he may be disoriented.

Mr Jacobs is described as Caucasian, 183cm tall, 110kg with dark brown hair, hazel eyes and is clean shaven. He was wearing a black jacket, grey jumper, dark blue cargo pants and black Dunlop sneakers. Mr Jacobs shuffles when he walks and will likely be confused. He stutters and is not able to communicate well.

He left home with his black and white Border Collie X dog however his dog was located about 5.30am on 13 June in good health at a service station at Darlington and Mr Jacobs is now thought to be alone."

Body found

Police have found the body of missing southern suburbs man Roger Jacobs. The 54-year-old, who had dementia, went missing on June 12 when he took his dog for a walk, sparking a widespread search.

Sadly the body of a man believed to be that of missing person Roger Jacobs was found in scrubland earlier today (Sunday 24 June) at the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park at Flagstaff Hill.
