We have a WS thread about this heist:

It appears the thieves dropped the Royal Crown that Empress Eugenie, Napoleon III's wife was crowed with and it broke into several pieces.

The burglars targeted the Apollo Gallery, which contains the French crown jewels. Le Parisien newspaper said nine items were taken. Two were recovered, one of them the crown of Empress Eugénie, Napoleon III’s wife, which is adorned with 1,354 diamonds, 1,126 rose-cut diamonds and 56 emeralds. Rachida Dati, the culture minister, said the crown was found broken outside the museum, which suggested the thieves had dropped it.

Royal Jewels for the Festival of Remembrance

HM is wearing her favoured van cleef and arples diamond earrings with her usual stacks of bracelets. There does seem to be a ‘diamond’ bracelet as well.

The Princess of Wales is wearing her unidentified cross necklace with the Glasgow Brooch gifted to her recently. Catherine’s earrings are the Bahrain pearls from the late Queen’s collection.

The Poppy is by Izzy Ager of Lock & Co. who has recently graduated from The Royal School of Needlework. The Poppy is handmade using silk, glass and other natural materials.

The Duchess turned to her Chopard collection for the evening with the regiment brooch of the Royal Corps of Army Music.

The poppy for Sophie was the RBL Women of the Second World War.

They all look beautiful and so well-groomed and well-jeweled.

Duchess Sophie's fan purse is absolutely charming.

Remembrance Sunday Service Jewels

Queen Camilla

HM is wearing one of her favoured chokers; the pearls with a diamond clasp that she has worn on multiple occasions throughout the year.

Duchess of Edinburgh

The Duchess wore a pair of unidentified earrings that have long been a favourite of hers.

The regiment brooch was for the royal electrical and mechanical engineers.

Princess of Wales

The Princess of Wales turns to her mother in law’s collection in the form of the Collingwood Pearl earrings that Catherine has favoured for many years.

The brooch is the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Pilot’s Wing FAA Sweetheart.

Those brooches are superb.

I especially like the one Queen Camilla has on. Duchess Sophie's is also very interesting.

I wonder why Queen Camilla and Duchess Sophie are wearing 3 poppies and Princess Catherine is only wearing one.

NEW: The Princess of Wales for the first time attended the Armistice Day Service of Remembrance.

For the occasion, Catherine repeated the ruby and diamond earrings first worn for the VE celebrations. Each earring features a pear-shaped ruby surrounded by diamonds, suspended from three diamond studs.

The regiment badge shaped brooch for the Irish Guards kept the poppies in place.

Her Majesty, Patron of the English National Ballet, hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace yesterday, to celebrate its 75th anniversary.

She brought out a most appropriate jewel for the occasion in the form of the Ballerina Clip by Van Cleef & Arpels.

There are rows of sapphires, rubies and diamonds at the hem, waist and sleeves of the dress. The head is adorned with smaller round rubies and a single large diamond. The entire “body” of the ballerina is covered with polished gold.

Queen Camilla attended the diplomatic reception this evening wearing The Greville Emerald Tiara.

It was made in 1921 by Boucheron for Dame Margaret Greville, who bequeathed her jewellery to the Queen Mother in 1942. The tiara is made of brilliant and rose cut diamonds pave set in platinum, with six emeralds on either side.

HM also wore the Queen Victoria's Bar Brooch with her own personal diamond pear diamond earrings and the diamond snake necklace.

The two diamond bracelets from the Queen Mother's Cartier tiara was also on show.

NEW: The Princess of Wales attends this year’s Royal Variety Performance.

For the occasion, Catherine once again turned to the Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings.

The Greville Chandelier earrings were created by Cartier for Mrs Margaret Greville in 1918, with additional diamonds being added in 1922 and 1929.

These earrings are made up of a number of different cuts of diamond including baguette, emerald, pear and trapeze.

The earrings were part of the Greville bequest left to the Queen Mother in 1942, with the Queen Mother gifting them to the then Princess Elizabeth on the occasion of her 1947 wedding.

The Princess of Wales also has a diamond bracelet on one of her wrists.

I imagine it will be one from the late Queen’s collection; the Queen Mother's diamond quatrefoil bracelet probably or Queen Mary's diamond choker bracelet.

Today, the Princess of Wales greeted the President of Germany at Heathrow Airport.

Catherine turned to old favourites, especially for state visits with the double drop sapphire and diamond earrings from Princess Diana’s collection.

Princess Alexandra’s feather brooch made another appearance for the formal arrival without it's emerald drop

For the formal arrival, HM Camilla wore the Prince Albert Sapphire Brooch.

The diamond and sapphire brooch was a wedding gift to Queen Victoria by Prince Albert.

For the Royal Collection Trust showcase, the Queen changed into the Greville ivy brooches.

Interesting blue color scheme by the BRF.

I wonder what that necklace is on Elke Büdenbender, wife of the German President. It looks very nice.
