A 67-year-old doctor is missing after her family says she went hiking Tuesday with her dogs in Pickens County, South Carolina.

Dr. Carol Burger Poe, who has Parkinson's disease, went hiking Tuesday in the Horse Pasture area of Pickens County, which is off of Highway 178.

The search for Poe began Tuesday night, but was suspended due to the damage and down trees brought by Helene which made it unsafe for searching in the dark. The search resumed Wednesday morning. One of her dogs, some dog treats and her car keys were found. Photos released of doctor in Upstate who is missing after going on hike with dogs
