Saif lived with his mother, who has full custody of him, in Beaumont, Texas in 1998. Saif was abducted by his father, Sayed El Arabi Mohamed Ahmed, who may use the alias Ramadan Ahmed. An FBI Kidnapping warrant was issued for the abductor on October 15, 1998. They are believed to be in Egypt, possibly the Cairo area.
