When a mean-spirited thief stole a Colorado family's Christmas decorations from their front lawn - including their Santa - the family put out this note:
To the person who stole our Christmas decorations because our kids are very sad. Who would do something like this? Someone that does not know about Santa Claus.
It obviously struck a chord, as the next night, the thief put them all back and apologized for being a bad person. Which probably makes them not such a bad person after all. At least, the family don't seem to think so, as they then put out a 'thank you note' to him/her.
