That’s really sad. Assume the teen had a lot of past trauma. To the point that a new (presumably loving) environment couldn’t fix his demons.

I can’t stop thinking of this. I really wish that people who hurt children would be locked up for life and not given the ability to ever reproduce.

So many tortured souls out there and I bet many/most come from abused and neglected childhoods. Not all, but most. The trauma from childhood never leaves a soul and often is irreparable, so it continues down with each generation. The victim can be given a new lease in life, to escape their previous abuse like the teen here, but it’s not enough. Not excusing this teen at all for killing his adoptive mom, but it’s so much more messier. MOO IMO

ETA: I’m making a lot of assumptions here since the boy was a teen foster child adoption. It’s unlikely he had a stable, no abuse life if he was in the system until age 15.
