Family, friends and the Sumter Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing woman.

Family members of Carol Jean Feagin say that she has not been in touch with family since she left her home on Sept. 11, however was later seen by an acquaintance Monday in the Calhoun Street area.

Those who know her said it's not unusual to leave for a few days before returning however family member want to know whether she is okay.

The 34-year-old woman is known to be in the Broad Street area near Fraizer Street.

She is described as five feet seven inches tall, weights about 160 pounds and has short brown hair with blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing blue jean short pants, a black rain jacket and black and white Air Jordan sneakers.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700 or 911.
