Deputies searching for missing woman in Dillon County
A massive search is planned for Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at the Floydale Fire Department in Dillon County in search of 38-year-old Crystal McDaniel, according to Dillon County Sheriff Douglas Pernell.
Pernell said they plan to strategically search several areas in the community. He added volunteers are welcome to join in the search.
McDaniel's niece, Cetera Clark, said all sorts of things are running through their minds, but they're trying to stay upbeat.
"Maybe she's hiding out. But, she can't get in touch with nobody. Maybe she's hostage somewhere. We just want to make sure she's safe," said Clark.
Clark added McDaniel would never intentionally just leave her children and not call to tell them she's ok or check on them.
"It's not like for her to even do this. Usually, somebody knows where she's at," said Clark.
Dillon County Sheriff Douglas Pernell said they've used drones, K9's and officers have canvassed all over the Floydale and nearby communities searching for McDaniel. Pernell said they've also tracked leads all the way to Myrtle Beach. He added whenever they get a tip or information of a possible sighting of McDaniel, they follow through with it.
