Police searching for missing Summerville woman

The Summerville Police Department is searching for 24-year-old Danielle Holland who was last seen on Monday night.

On Tuesday, police spoke to a woman who said her daughter was missing and was last seen Monday night at 8 p.m. when she went into her bedroom after dinner.

The mother said when her husband went into Holland’s bedroom to say goodnight at 12:45 a.m., and she was not there.

According to family members, the bedroom window appeared to be forced opened where they had previously attempted to lock it. Holland had previously used the window to leave the apartment and run away, but the last time she did it was a year and a half ago.

Holland had previously used the window to leave the apartment and run away, but the last time she did it was a year and a half ago.

Appears her parents consider her a "run away" despite being several years beyond the age to be considered a minor. I wonder if she has cognitive issues and requires supervision?

That is interesting that she ran away a year and a half ago. Since she was 22/23 a year and a half ago, how is that considered a runaway?

I agree, at that age if we decide we need to go see a friend at 12am we walked out the door at my parents house. My mom may have given me the "I know what you did last night" gaze, but I never felt compelled to leave out the window after 18yrs of age. 1 caveat the rules are the rules. If mom said I better not hear that door at 2am tonight..I'd sit home. We didnt go through tht when I had to move home briefly, thy respected my privacy & i hid anything I felt may be too "wild" from my parents at 26.
I'm not understanding how she "ran away".
If she came home & saw lights on she may have opted to go bk with whoever she left with, if her parents are that overbearing, IMOO. I did that at 16, not my 20's . Sorry, I'm not following what's happend here and why they felt she needed to be guarded and checked on by a parent at 1245a.m. ? I'm sure very good reason for it, I'm just very curious.

IMOO Possibilities: Under care? Recovering addict? Health or Mental health Concerns? All possible reasons a parent would have the vigilance switch flipped on, always IMOO.

What I'm about to say please don't roast me but, she looks so normal I would never guess shes "special needs" so I'm guessing whoever shes with has overlooked the signs? I suppose that can happen. How frustrating for her family. Sorry for the earlier post! Just shows how speculation can start right out of the gate and I was leading the pack, ashamed.

Many special needs people, or students who receive special education services, are physically attractive and have very appropriate social skills. I think her FB post about herself may hint at special needs, but not her photo. IMO
