GREENVILLE, S.C. -- An investigation is under way after a hunter found human skeletal in a wooded area over the weekend.

The remains were found just before 4 p.m. on Saturday in a wooded area across from 102 Kondros Circle in Greenville.

Investigators from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Division responded to the scene, as well as personnel from the coroner's office and forensics.

Investigators at the scene determined that the skeletal remains, which were scattered about the area, had been at the location for a considerable amount of time. Foul play has not been ruled out.
