James Edward Abell
Case Classification: Endangered Missing
Missing Since: November 13, 1999
Location Last Seen: Aynor, Horry County, South Carolina
Description:
Abell left his residence in Aynor, South Carolina*** on November 13th, 1999. He sold cars for a living and allegedly traveled to Myrtle Beach to collect money owed to him. His vehicle and some clothing were missing from his residence. He has never been heard from again.
Abell's family believes the circumstances surrounding his disappearance are suspicious. They reported to police that he did not inform anyone he was leaving or where he was going, which was uncharacteristic of him.
The 1991 Chevy Corvette Abell was driving at the time was later recovered in Ohio but he was nowhere to be found. Several tips received in 1999 and 2000 suggested he was deceased. Foul play is suspected in Abell's case. His whereabouts remain unknown.
