Investigators searching for man wanted for questioning in death of 92-year-old in Aiken
New information surrounding the death of a 92-year-old man. James Oakman’s remains were found where his home was burned down.
The coroner has ruled his death suspicious. On Monday, the Sheriff’s Office has identified a person wanted for questioning.
The nephew of that victim tells FOX 54 that David Logue has been living with his uncle for close to a year.
Now suspicions are high when family went to check in on oakman only to find his house burnt to the ground with David and his uncle’s car missing.
“To me it seems like he had a motive to do this. Over land or money. He didn’t care about my uncle and was simply using him,” says Rev. Frank Beckles.
A strange relationship between David Logue & 92-year-old James Oakman concerned family members like Rev. Frank Beckles.
“I know something like this usually doesn’t happen by accident,” he says.
Family members went to check in on Oakman this past weekend only to find his home scorched. Investigators identified Oakman through dental remains found in the ashes of what used to be home. Investigators saying that this house burned for 2 days.
“It had to be someone he knew because he had no enemies,” says Rev. Beckles.
